Taste Of China — Attraction in Town of Amherst

Family has been eating there for a loooooong time now...maybe close to 10 yrs...starting when they were located in the Food Court in the Boulevard Mail. They left due to Dicks sporting Goods store buying out the Food Court. After a year, they'd built theit own store just inside the main door of the same mall. I followed them online to see updates as to when they would open again. They first went by the name Cajun Quarters and reopened under present name Taste of China. The food is good as always, the employees/owners are very pleasant and friendly and we will continue to eat there and take out. The prices are so fair. And one meal can make 3 or 4 as its very filling. They are a kind family and we look forward to seeing them. 'Mama' was there at the beginning and was always out in the front of Cajun Quarters handing out samples. Then one day she was not there for a time. I asked when I did t see her anymore and cdnt understand their reply. However she never returned. She may have retired or just stay at home now. When my dad used to go there, they would always call him...'Tall smiling man...God...

THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! As we all know, Chinese food simply tastes better in a mall. But now, as malls are slowly dwindling, I feared that the boulevard mall wouldn’t be able to provide that luxury especially after the food court closed. But boy oh boy was I gladly mistaken!!! You can enter this place through the mall entrance right next to TGI Fridays. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the nicest man who makes every customer feel like a buddy of his even when he’s stressed out or it’s busy! But the service is just the start of the awesome things about this place. In 2023, you can get a 2 meat 2 side combo for $10.99 which is piled high filling up the whole box. And the quantity does not negate the quality!! I have not had the bubble tea yet but next time I’ll be sure to get it!!...

MY FRIEND!!! VERY VERY NICE PEOPLE...BUT... I'm guessing they use a lot of msg. I use to eat there with no problems. Good food and good people and great prices. Its a clean place too. The last 3 times I ate the orange chicken I threw up. All 3 times. After some research I think they use a lot of msg. The next time I go to the mall I will stop in and ask. Unfortunately I can't eat the food from only this place. It sucks because its so good. I like the people. My friend! I thew up so violently each time. My heart was pounding etc.. I had all of the symptoms of the msg reaction. MSG is very bad for you. I'm wondering if they will make to order with no msg. I will ask my friend. Haha. Good place just not for me. Has anyone else had this problem...
