Edited: A few days after the original one star post, I received a call from Donna. She maintained that the couch i recieved was new, but let me know that since I received a unit with defects, she would be exchanging it for another one. A new couch was delivered in excellent condition yesterday. Overall I'm pleased with the furniture, but it's unfortunate that it took posting a review on Google to have the issue addressed properly despite multiple phone calls.
We purchased two "brand new" couches from Old Brick in Amsterdam. The salesman was great, no issues there. The problem arose when the couches were delivered. A few minutes after the delivery people left we discovered a nail in back of one of the couches was pulled out and there was a sizable hole worn into the back as well. We also noticed the foot rest didn't lock in place. We immediately notified them and they said they'd send out a technician to look at it. Today he shows up and says that they'll replace the back that has the damage and fix the footrest mechanism. I then speak to someone in the warehouse/repair department and voice my concerns as we were charged for a new couch and this is clearly not new. A new couch does not have a hole worn in it nor does in need the mechanism repaired. She told me this was not a floor model and that it came directly from the factory, which is not true, it came from their warehouse. Had it come directly from the factory we would not have been able to get it delivered so quickly and the salesman confirmed it was in the warehouse. She stated that when their shipped they can shift and cause damage. This damge is from repeated use and wear. Bottom line is they sold me an item as new that is clearly not new and refused to provide any compensation other than to repair it. I didn't pay for a couch needing repair. I paid for a new couch. I will not be purchasing anything from Old Brick again and I would advise anyone who asks against it as well. Totally...
Read moreI had an absolutely amazing experience purchasing a mattress at Old Brick in Amsterdam. The urgency of our need for a mattress was met with exceptional service from Candy and Brian at the store. Candy's extensive product knowledge guided us through our options, and to my delight, the mattress I decided on was readily available in their inventory.
Despite their standard delivery timeline not aligning with our urgency, I took the liberty of inquiring whether there might be a delivery scheduled for my area the following day. Even before departing Amsterdam, I received a call confirming that my delivery was scheduled for the very next day, perfectly coinciding with my son's arrival from California.
True to their word, my delivery arrived within the promised timeframe. Lawrence and Sardae, the two courteous gentlemen who conducted the delivery, not only assembled my bed frame with finesse but also adeptly positioned the box spring and mattress. Their professionalism was evident, yet they managed to create a friendly and engaging atmosphere throughout the process. I was particularly impressed by Sardae's skillful maneuvering of the queen mattress through challenging corners, around ceiling fans, and within confined spaces.
The entire process, from start to finish, exceeded my expectations in every way. I can confidently say that I will continue to patronize Old Brick for all my future needs. Remarkably, within a mere 24 hours of stepping into the store, I found myself gazing at my fully set-up mattress at my lakeside camp on Lake Sacandaga.
My heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone involved for their exceptional service. Thank you, indeed.

Read morePurchased a new reclining sofa and love seat set from Old Brick two weeks ago. They were offering an exceptional 60 months interest free financing and I took advantage of the offer. Though the sales people are a little overwhelming when you first go in (someone new talks to you every three minutes) they were exceedingly helpful. They told us a lot about the different colors each piece came in, the features each piece of furniture had, etc. When it came to purchasing time, one of the pieces was delayed so there were going to be two delivery dates, one for the love seat and a week later for the sofa. Unfortunately, the day before the expected first delivery date, our salesperson Sham called and said there was a delay and they were both coming the following week. The sales manager was exceptional, and offered us $100 off (free delivery) the total cost as an apology which was very kind. The delivery came and both delivery people were quick and set up both pieces very efficiently.
The entire process start to finish was mainly seamless, and any hiccups were handled professionally. The pieces of furniture are quality pieces and sturdy, but were surprisingly affordable. I purchased the protection plan in case anything does happen with them for peace of mind.
