i have no idea why in the hell people would even give this place one star !!! in my case i had no choice otherwise i woULd not be able to even write this lovely review (sarcasm). Lets begin with the only reason i know the facts i am going to state is bc i visited this place once to donate my personal items and this is my experience and thoughts... This place SMELLS HORRIBLE!!! to put it quite frankly it smells like a garbage dump. I mean for the ppl donating their used clothing PLEASE WASH THEM BEFORE DONATING...i know i do. WHATEVER you are donating ;this place DOES NOT give you any type of receipt so yo can claim it on your taxes. SO now this is why #3 below makes you feel robbed. They take your donation and sell whatever it is your donating for 3x the price. For example if you donate a kids bicycle thats in pretty fair condition they will sell the bike for $50 when again YOU DONATED THE ITEMS AND DIDNT EVEN GET a receipt so you can get some type of money back in your taxes and not only that but how dare they sell a used bike for the price of A NEW BIKE YOU CAN BUY at WALMART!!!!.
So in conclusion DO NOT DONATE ANY OF YOUR BELONGINGS TO THIS HORRIBLE BUSINESS. THEY ARE ROBBING YOU AND THE CONSUMERS. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING .
I LEARNED MY LESSON THE FIRST TIME, why would i give this business my brand named clothing that are barely worn to this place who re - sells them and they pocket money off my belongings when i can go to a church or drop off box location and donate my BELONNGINGS to ppl who really cannot afford to buy nice things and dont need to go to this horrible place wishing they had money to afford USED...
Read moreThis thrift store certainly doesn't lack in quantity, offering a substantial amount of inventory spread across many different, well-organized sections. However, the initial positive impression quickly fades when you encounter the pricing. The cost of items here is astronomically high, completely missing the fundamental point of what makes thrifting appealing to so many.
Walking through the aisles, I was genuinely shocked by some of the price tags. Imagine seeing a basic used VHS tape priced at $15 – a format that is largely obsolete and typically found for a dollar or two, if not less, at other secondhand stores. This trend of overpricing wasn't limited to just media. Everyday clothing items like shirts and pants were consistently priced higher than what you might pay for a brand new equivalent at a casual retailer.
The expectation when visiting a thrift store is to find affordable pre-owned items, giving them a second life while saving money. This store, unfortunately, seems to operate with a pricing model that completely ignores that principle. It feels less like a place for budget-friendly finds and more like a boutique with exorbitant markups on donated goods.
Given the shockingly high prices, it's difficult to justify shopping here. You're simply better off exploring other options, including ordering brand new items from online retailers like Amazon, where you often find more competitive pricing and the convenience of having items delivered directly to you. Unfortunately, this thrift store, despite its ample inventory and organization, fails to deliver on the core value proposition of thrifting due to its...
Read moreDang, I have a lot to say! I used to love this place a few years ago but it’s gone to complete trash. Everything is overpriced , even FAKE designer items and shoes that are worn down to the sole. The cherry on top today was when the younger woman with dyed blonde hair working the counter started yelling at an elderly couple over the color of a discount when clearly they had troubled eyesight and even stated that. That then led to an all out brawl with several other customers who also had the same confusion of the sale and colored tags. Don’t waste your time, in this economy is it not worth it. You can get the same items new at the mall or on Amazon for half of the price they’re reselling it USED ! Go to savers , good will, even American thrift on north ocean is better than this and that says a lot. Between the terrible prices and rude customer service I am done going here. It’s a shame after being a customer for years. Trash to the max. Even the children clothes are overpriced , which is really sad because people could use the help . Ridiculous. So disappointed. Do better. I really wish I could have gotten the name of the woman working the register, she should not be working with the public due to the fact she was so quick to anger. I’m appalled by the way she raised her voice at customers and the way her coworkers were too afraid to calm her down. If you have that short of a fuse maybe consider a different occupation. PS- SHEIN clothing being sold for double the price makes me nauseous. This has to be some kind of...
