Elks Lodge Centereach — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

We decided to have our special day here. We had previously been at a function there. The food was good. The lobby and the reception area was very well kept. We booked the hall for our wedding. When we went to look at the hall everything looked so nice including the outside. We booked with them. I will cut to the chase. Day of our wedding the sign outside with both of our names were spelled wrong. Both spelled with a “ J” and they spelled it with an “L” The A.C. was broken a week before our wedding. No effort to have it fixed so we didn’t have to sweat in the back room. The hall part had ac. The rest didn’t making for an uncomfortable time. Decorations I had asked to have put out weren’t. And to boot, I asked them to weed the front area of the hall and I got “ I don’t know why the landscapers didn’t come”. Was told “maybe” I will be able to get someone out in the morning to weed. It was never done. I was embarrassed. I shouldn’t have had to ask them to do that. It should have been important enough to have the place looking nice on the outside as well as the inside. I go on my honeymoon for a week to return and pass the hall which since our event had been weeded and our sign was still up which means there was no functions since then. I am very hurt that they didn’t make an effort to make sure that everything was in order and cleaned up and running. We had our daughter’s Sweet 16 there this past weekend and it was excellent!! The hostess Claire is phenomenal, anything you want or need she gets it done what a pleasure to have met her. The wait staff, bartender and security were all so wonderful. The drinks were ice cold and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back to do more parties. My daughters sweet 16 was this pass weekend . Claire the hostess was amazing. You could not ask for a more kind and caring women . You are definitely an asset to the Elks Lodge.
