Everybody in the hood know that strip be chaos, so if you on the north side, you sittin’ blessed ‘cause this deli got you locked in daily, ya dig?

This ain’t no new hustle neither—been holdin’ it down since back in ’69, family hands keepin’ it pushin’, servin’ the block wit’ love. Slide through them doors and it smack you in the face—bacon snappin’, eggs sizzlin’, coffee bubblin’, whole smell like comfort wrapped in a paper bag. Ain’t no corporate cookie-cutter vibes, nah, this that homestyle grind, real-deal Centereach flavor.

Breakfast here? Straight legendary, nephew. Them egg sammies hittin’ heavy—bacon crispy like a fresh hundred-dollar bill, eggs fluffy like clouds, cheese melted down all drippy, roll warm an’ soft like it just came off grandma’s counter. That Hungry Man Hero? Yo, that a beast—eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, cheese all fightin’ for space on one monster hero, heavy enough to lay a grown man flat. And them home fries? Golden, crunchy, seasoned like somebody auntie out back blessin’ every potato by hand. Ain’t no weak eats here, this a full belly guarantee.

Lunchtime? They still flexin’ on fools. Hot heroes drippin’ wit’ cheese, cold cuts stacked fat like shoebox money, wraps packed tight like a blunt, bread fresh on every move. You unwrap one, and it screamin’ “we feedin’ family, not rationin’ scraps.” That’s love in every bite, homie.

And peep the staff—real cool, real quick, always show respect. Call yo’ order in, and it’s hot an’ steamin’ when you pull up. Walk in, they greet you like kinfolk, treat you like you been down since day one. That hometown energy, nephew, that what make it stick.

Caterin’? They kings at that hustle too. Six-foot heroes runnin’ long as a limo, pasta trays stacked sky-high, salads crisp, whole table look like a banquet. Birthdays, game days, block parties—they keep the squad fed right, portions fat, prices fair, everybody leavin’ satisfied.

The streets already stamped it official. Yelp talkin’ “best egg sammie in the hood,” TripAdvisor droppin’ perfect stars, locals steady praisin’ the food, the flavor, the family vibe. Ain’t no mystery—it’s consistent, it’s proven, it’s Centereach pride, straight up.

I would not give this deli less than half of a star. I’ve dined with this establishment a few times and each time the food was over prices and very underwhelming. Well This Memorial Day while I had to bring food to my husband who works at a fire house I ordered the “godfather” Italian sandwich. Dressing on the side (which was not given or in the bag to go) no lettuce no tomato. What I received was a bunch of Italian meats that didn’t taste good and cheese that may have gone bad because I have been puking since I ate a few bites. Gets better, Once I called the deli to let them know they should please check the cold cuts, I was told no no no there’s no way I got sick from their food. Well Sir!!! Your food was what I was eating when my body rejected it and I spent Memorial Day 2024 puking 🤮 my guts up. I do not recommend this deli not even for a bottle of water. The owner or whoever was given the phone. When I asked to speak to a manager claimed I was wrong about his food! He was so rude and condescending and verbally abusive that I question the safely of others around him since he clearly is unable to handle a simple courtesy call to check his meats and cheese. And flipped out on me. I wasn’t even asking for my money back or another sandwich!! All I wanted was to let them know and to maybe check that their food is being kept fresh. I would never recommend that deli ever nor would I eat there again even if it were the last place on Long Island...

I have only eaten at this Deli 5 times. It is by far THE BEST DELI in Suffolk County. I thought my order would annoy the guy making it but he was MORE than happy to make my favorite sandwich from there. It’s low sodium chicken Brest (Boars Head on rye w 1 or 2 pieces of American Cheese but my chicken has to be sliced paper thin. They go above and beyond to make the customer feel welcome and the sandwiches are delicious as are the salads (potato is AMAZING) and the owner made brand new Rice Pudding. I was back 2 days in a row this week Wednesday 8/21/19 and 8/22/19. Now already have plans for my signature sandwich and my friends Vegetarian Hero (she raves about) for this Sunday. I’m hoping my guy that made our sandwiches this week is there but i don’t doubt one second the other workers are just as great!! CENTEREACH DELI IS A 5 STAR DELI and i live in Port Jeff and go out of my way to eat...
