Daryll's Car Audio — Attraction in Town of Cheektowaga

I went in to have Infinity speakers & an Alpine Amp paired to my receiver. $785!!! Took 4.5 hrs. I supplied the equipment. The amp kept overheating; went back & for another $100, they installed a small cooling fan using steel brackets & plastic sealer. ALL of this was done 8/16... Two wks ago, the fan got bumped & stopped working...amp overheating again... went back to Darryl's: gonna be a wk MAYBE to get another fan... TOTALLY DISGUSTED & FRUSTRATED!!! I called CUSTOM RADIO!!! Not only did CUSTOM RADIO have a much better fan in a steel housing... they also pointed out mismatches between the speakers, amp & receiver, resulting in distortions at higher volumes...I replaced the receiver, the wiring to handle the load, added a back-up camera that DID NOT REQUIRE THE CAR BE DRILLED!!!.... The tech was AMAZING: set the proper switches on the speakers, the amp...paired everything PROPERLY TO THE NEW PIONEER AVH-500EX receiver... NOW I HAVE THE SYSTEM & THE RESULTS I WAS LOOKING FOR & DARRYL'S HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF IT!!!!!!!!! I WILL TELL EVERYONE....GO TO CUSTOM RADIO**THEY KNOW!!!!

In response to the reply: I now have close to $3000 invested in this system. I do not believe anyone but an idiot would consider that "low-end".... in the future, maybe Darryl's should consider telling customers the TRUTH rather than the sub quality they gave my system. I do not regret how I approached this: I asked tons of questions...WAS INSISTENT THE CAR WILL NOT BE DRILLED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES & she still is not. In any retail business THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!! I went back twice to get issues dealt with: in both cases, I faced arrogant attitudes & substandard work. THAT is why I found another business who could address my concerns. I will never go back to Darryl's, & when asked about this system at car shows, I WILL tell...

I've been a customer for 17 years and I do not even think about going to another place. I recently had issues with something drawing power from my batteries. After diagnosing it is not the alternator, batteries, and fuses I thought I'd take my car to Darryl's just to see if they can figure out anything. As luck would have it the day I took it there they were able to work on it and figure out the problem. They rewired the sound system from a previous shop and now all my components operate at the normal voltage and looks way nicer. You can't put a price on a piece of mind. I wish I could write more because I have so many other great experiences and all of my friends said they do too when I refer them.
