Funcity Adventure Park — Attraction in Town of Cheektowaga

We had booked our party Jan. 20th from 3-5p. When we arrived we were greeted at the door with an overwhelming smell of marijuana. The line was almost to the door. We arrived 15 minutes early as allowed for party room prep. Unfortunately we waited in line for 10 minutes. There was only 3 people operating registers. The process for people to pay and get into the system takes a while. There was a woman that had a very loud outburst, yelling loudly and walking away from the service desk. Everyone staring. My husband and I looked at each other saying “ what did we get ourselves into.” When it was finally our turn I was told our room was given to another party and I would have to wait 15 min for another room! I told the girl that was not an option! After waiting in line for 10 min holding a tray of cupcakes and party supplies and an infant car seat I was not waiting any longer and I needed a room now as party guest were arriving. She did find a room quickly. However I did have to rush and text the rest of our guests our new party room#. I had parents fill out the waiver form ahead of time, so there would be no hold up. Parents dropped their kids off and the host comes in with a tablet asking kids for their phone numbers to make sure their waiver was filled out. Well some of these kids are very little and don’t know their parents #’s so I had to go through my phone finding numbers for the host. Suggestion- keep a list of kiddos names with numbers handy! I had 10 kids attending the party and was given 9 socks. I told the host I was missing a pair for the tenth guest and was told I’ll need to buy that pair! I was so annoyed at this point that I just said whatever. I told my party to stick together and choose one obstacle at I time so I had eyes on them at all times. Saying this place was packed is an understatement!!! It would be easy for some creep to walk out with a child if unsupervised. I do have to say…IF SUPERVISED , it is an awesome place for kids to play, many many different things to do, the place is huge! BUT, there is no staff walking around making sure people have wristbands, showing they payed to play. It would be very easy for people to walk in bypass the registration and get right into the play area. With that being said kids can also walk right out if not being watched. My kids did have a blast playing. I payed 15$ extra /pizza. The pizza was a little Caesar 5$ pizza…the party room was extremely hot! My husband had to stand at the door to keep it propped open to get a bit of air flow. I’m Glad I got a party room over the party tables because people were running through the tables and they looked very crowded. Also all of their gifts and party things are exposed so it would be very easy for someone to steal gifts or personal belongings if not watched. With that being said, there are about 50 cubbies for people to put their belongings in (which I would NOT trust doing!) overall the kids had a blast but I was disappointed. It would truly be an awesome experience if it was run properly and should really have security! I did have a friend that happened to go the same day but at 11am and said that there was no crowd and had a better experience. Needless to say, we will never have another party here again. I keep telling people that if they want to go, try going on a weekday in the morning. There was to many trashy people and unsupervised teens, something awful is bound to happen. I can see this place needing to close like Chuck E. Cheese’s because of fights and chaos. For this reason I will not be going back for...

This place needs to do better. We attended a party here this evening theres 10 rooms for the party's plus a few tables that can be reserved. My first issue, The host of the party works HARD she is the sweetest woman absolutely the most caring person I've met. She will literally give her last to help a person in need even if she didn't know them. With that being said, When you book a party usually you have the option to include food. She did that. When she arrived with the thought she'd be receiving sheet pizzas she found out she paid 600$ for 4 large pizzas from Pizza Hut she was unable to purchase more as the venue refused to allow it. The staff was incredibly rude the lack of professionalism is insane. Secondly for what she paid for the food PLUS rental fees and an additional 8 kids there should have been no reason we were rushed out of the room by staff. They literally call your party name over the loud speaker. I'm sorry but I don't think they should be calling a child's first and last name over the loud speaker. That's a safety issue on its own. If anything it should be under the parents name which they had as we all signed waivers. They gave the children an hour in a half to play and eat needless to say the kids were very upset. There was also no way another party could use the room after us due to the timeframe. Third, this goes back to the staff and facilities there are small children running around climbing and acting crazy why is the AC off? Someone please explain why the AC is off ? That's an asthma attack waiting to happen. We observed several screws by the gaming section on the floor when staff was notified as they have small children running around the lady gave me an issue. When the card machine stopped working she gave me an attitude I wasn't rude at all. I was notifying her Because both were down. At the basketball courts there was no staff and again at several other attractions like the dodge ball court and several slides and obstacles. There was a small boy stuck on top of the slide for about 10 minutes in the 10 and under. Staff was notified several times. I spoke with a staff member who clearly doesn't have children because he rudely said why can't he get down he's obviously scared and took on more than he thought he could. How he got stuck isn't a debatable subject just go get the baby down as you were employed to do. They need to section off behind the basketball hoop because several children kept going back there it just goes around the attractions from the arcade area all the way up to the slides the security guard literally just watched it happen. My own son was a target for some boy with no home training. My son was not inside of the dodge ball pit but had a boy older than him run up and repeatedly whipped balls at his face and stomach. We don't know who this boy is. But my son 4 told me he was wearing red with black pants and he had shaven hair. My son shook it off we made sure he was okay and let him play again. I went to locate my son and caught this boy attacking my son with the balls again when I pointed him out to staff they did nothing. As we stood there myself and staff watched him sing a baby maybe 2 in the face with the ball. She still didn't say anything. Also if your kids wanted to walk out the front doors by themselves they could. There's nothing stopping...

If I could give this place a ZERO I would! What a JOKE for a birthday party. My 8 year old had a birthday party on 12/9/24 from 1-3p. Don’t expect to have anything provided like they claim on their website! Arrive 15 mintues early so we can set-up our party. I arrived and stood waiting until 12:45p to be told our room was not ready. They were going to send a security guard over to stand at the door so they can leave. I waited 3 minutes and was told to walk over to our room #7 and stand in front of the door so the other guests can leave. We walked over and to our surprise no other guests were in that room aside from all the garbage on the floors and wall full of tape remnants. Two young girls tried to quickly clean the floors. Not one thing was wiped down. My husband and I both scrambled to put his decorations up within 5 minutes before our guests arrived. We were suppose to have a host who was MIA 90% of the time. My husband and I had to track her down every couple minutes our guests arrived to get a pair of socks. I asked her what time would pizza be served she told me 2:30p. I asked her at 2p because again, that’s what the policy said on their page! She agreed but didn’t seem sincere with the time change. At 2:37p we were called to get pizza. Mind you our party room ends at 3p! The kids scarfed food down asap, tried to toss cupcakes to kids and whip open presents. It was 3:07p security was at our door telling us we needed to leave and pay our bill! If we didn’t they would escort us out! Unreal! We tried quickly to pull it all down, drag 10 sets of winter gear from kids to cubbies near the front desks. Then they paged overhead for me to make my way to the front desk to pay my bill and our party was over! Mind you on their page it says if guests are not allowed 15 min set up and our room is not prepared accordingly we would receive 15 mins extra after our check out time to stay. THAT WAS A LIE. After we were told to leave on their website it specifically states we could pay for extra jump time which I had paid for and was not provided! My son went to jump and was told he was not allowed to because he did not have the proper jump pass band. Nobody told us about ever getting a different color band even after I told them we wanted this option to begin with. Needless to say, I reached out to manager, LIN YING, a day later. Was told she would look into this and call me back that evening or latest next morning. Waited. No call. Two days later I called her back, she answered and said due to language barrier on her end, which is completely understandable she wanted to rectify this situation and would have another manager call me back. Again no call when told, finally on 12/13 I receive a phone call by a gentleman who was very respectful, agreed it was their fault, stated he would issue me 2 tickets for compensation. I declined because I don’t plan on going back there after paying $380 to not receive ANY SERVICE AS DESCRIBED. He claimed they can’t offer anything else or compensation and a JUN YING would be in contact.
