1000 Islands Vacation Rentals — Attraction in Town of Clayton

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely accommodation and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I had a great time and would love to give it five stars. Despite a few issues, the owners were incredibly responsive and assured me that they would address them for future guests.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the attention to detail in the common areas. The small touches left for guests truly enhanced the overall experience. Not to mention, the stunning views from the property were absolutely breathtaking.

One aspect that really stood out to me was the level of cleanliness, especially considering it was a dog-friendly accommodation. I often find it challenging to find a pet-friendly place that maintains a high standard of cleanliness, so it was a pleasant surprise.

However, there were a couple of problems that arose during my stay. Firstly, the upstairs AC split unit was out of order, which meant that there was no air conditioning in that area. Nonetheless, the owners assured me that they have plans to fix it promptly.

In addition, the shower drain in the downstairs bathroom, where the washing machines are located, was draining quite slowly. This made it inconvenient to use the shower without standing in water. However, upon notifying the owners, they were quick to acknowledge the issue and stated that they would have it fixed.

Another concern I had was with the mattress in one of the bedrooms. It had noticeably caved in the middle, leading to an uncomfortable sleep where we constantly rolled towards the center. The owners were apologetic and understanding when informed of the issue and assured me that they would replace the mattress to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests.

Furthermore, while the bedroom linens were impeccably clean, the carpets in the bedrooms were visibly stained. This could be an area that would benefit from some attention to improve the overall appearance of the rooms. I trust that the owners will address this matter and take steps to rectify it for future guests.

Despite these issues, I must emphasize that the owners' responsiveness and commitment to resolving the problems made a positive impression on me. They assured us that concerns raised would be taken seriously and addressed promptly.

With that being said, I genuinely had a wonderful time during my stay at this accommodation. The property itself was well-maintained, and the surrounding area was delightful. I am confident that, with the owners' attentiveness, future guests will have an even better experience.

This place was an amazing house to stay in…walking distance to bars and restaurants and the boat ramp to go fishing. If you’re staying at this place you must go to the wood boat pizza restaurant they have the best pizzas around!!! The yard was amazing and fenced in for that added security feel. The kitchen was big and very well stocked with everything needed for our stay. The bedrooms were big there were TVs for everyone to watch at night. I would absolutely stay at this place again and will be looking at it again for next year when we return. Oh and if you have kids the playground is like a 3 minute walk down the road!!! We absolutely loved our stay at Michael's cottage! Even before we checked in, we started our vacation off with an awesome lunch at Bad Apple Garage in Watertown at Michael's recommendation. We were able to get in an hour before check in, and Michael graciously allowed us to extend our check out time! The cottage was beautiful with every amenity. Plenty of room for our family of 7, especially with the adorable detached in-law suite. Our boys couldn't get enough of the fishing and kayaking (2 kayaks provided!) while our girls loved the quick drive to Salmon Run Mal! It was a perfect weekend for everyone and we would love to...
