Highly recommend for professionalism, communication, consideration, expediency, job site maintenance and top notch quality outcome. We will be using Petra General Services for all future projects. They took down and rebuilt our wrap around porch within 1 week!

I contacted Petra General Services two months ago just to get some estimates for projects we had in mind. Jeff was very professional and easy to communicate with. In walking around our recently purchased old farmhouse, he observed our wrap around porch was resting on metal pipes vs wooden posts, it had not been built to code and furthermore, it was structurally unstable and a hazard. That became the priority. He was very timely with official estimates and communication, he was respectful of our time and budget considerations and definitely worked with us for an outcome we could be comfortable with. I never once got the sense that he was just selling a job, he legitimately seemed concerned for us and had safety at the forefront. When it came to the job, he put us on the schedule quickly. He showed up with one other employee and in 5 working days, they completely disassembled and disposed of our old porch, poured concrete footings and rebuilt the wrap around porch to perfection. During demolition, one of the metal pipes holding the old porch up, literally snapped at the base because it was completely corroded through. We had no idea how close we might have been to disaster or tragedy, but thankfully Jeff was very aware and prioritized our project. Materials and a dumpster sat in my front yard for a week and it was always neatly maintained. There was never any debris in my yard and every evening all the materials were neatly stacked. They arrived by 8AM, worked until dinner time and they took 10 minute lunch breaks at most. They never stopped working, they were incredibly polite, quick to answer any questions, offer explanations and updates and were even friendly towards my kids when they got off the bus and walked by. When they played music it was at an appropriate volume and was the most beautiful relaxing instrumental music, definitely not what you would expect and was so nice I opened my kitchen window so it filtered into the house. A week ago, Petra General Services were an hour into demoing my porch and last night, less than a week later, my kids and I ate celebratory pizza on our brand new, completely level, stable, beautiful, wrap around porch. Jeff Senecal Jr came out to my house to give us an estimate on a cabinet/counter install. We liked him right away, very friendly and seemed competent. He came out at the agreed upon date and began work. This is where it gets sticky, my house is old and about an inch out of level side to side. We already knew this and had discussed it at the consult. Jeff decided the best way to level out the difference was to over-shim the cabinets to a non-standard height without discussing it with the homeowners - one of which was home at the time. When I returned from work it was pretty obvious that the entire kitchen had been raised up and it does not look good. We called Jeff right away and he tried to blame my BF (who was home at the time) saying he approved the weird height, what my BF agreed to was shimming the cabinets level as discussed at the consult Jeff didn't feel the need to mention that he wanted to shim them 2 inches too high. Jeff was supposed to come back at 2pm the following day to finish the install and instead showed up at 10am unannounced, declared he will not be fixing the cabinet height and quit on the spot. He cashed the deposit check we had given him in good faith and has ignored our request to return the money. I reached out to Petra this morning and spoke to Jeff Sr, he informed me that he had no knowledge of the project, didn't know who I was and hung up on me, TWICE. I am now stuck with an unfinished, unacceptable kitchen, a company that doesn't stand behind it's work and either a whole lot of my time an effort to fix it myself or I can try to find a new, trustworthy contractor to do the job right. I'm very disappointed in this entire interaction, especially since we initially liked Jeff Jr so much. 0/10 do not recommend.

I cannot say enough positive things about Petra General Services, Jeff and their concrete mason Ian . From the moment I contacted them to get an estimate for a patio and new retaining wall, I was impressed with their professionalism and expertise. Ian was very knowledgeable and offered valuable suggestions for the design of our patio. The finished product came out exactly as we Invisioned and the craftsmanship is wonderful! The concrete work is flawless, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the project. The crew did encounter some crazy weather during the job and they faced some definite challenges. They cleaned up and fixed our yard which, because of the heavy rains, did get torn up. Ian was also was very particular about how the project came out. He even redid the top of our new retaining wall to meet his very high standards after the heavy rains. Ian went above and beyond with some of our requests and just as an all-around fantastic guy. I would recommend Petra to anyone looking for a top-notch concrete patio. They exceeded my expectations in every way! Thank you Ian for adding such a wonderful outdoor area...
