STR is apparently being blamed in most of these reviews for supporting plan 2014 which allows for slightly higher/lower water levels (undisputedly good for the environment ask any biologist). The river has flooded every 20 or so years just as bad as it did in 2017/19 going back a hundred years, even before the locks were installed there are pics of Alex Bay underwater.

My suggestion is if you want to donate your time or money to this organization which does some great work, contact them directly and do your own research, unlike the clowns on here blaming record rainfall/runoff on...

Save The River is a money making front. They say they care about environment and then support plan2014. Plan 2014 has flooded in 2017 and 2019. This year 3 feet over normal. Flooding and destruction of St Lawrence river and Lake Ontario. So much property and homes have been lost. They blame mother nature. Old plan prior to P2014 was 1958DD and it worked fine.
