Jang Tuh Asian Grocery — Attraction in Town of Colonie

Not necessarily the biggest, but the best Korean Asian grocery in the Capital Region. They used to be on Latham Circle but moved to the current location some years ago. There is carefully curated selection of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food items that should allow you to cook just about any Korean dish. This is our go-to place for seaweed, noodle soup, kimchi, ready-to-eat Korean dishes, Asian sauces and many other items. Owners are very friendly and can offer suggestions on food selection. A lot of items are Hiroshima-grade spicy, so probably ask the owners for advice if you're not sure about your capacity for hot food. If the Korean package says "Hot", it will be well beyond the typical spicy sauces in the American supermarket, more like 7-9 on a 1-10...

Our favorite Asian Market to go to. The owners are very nice. Good people. A real mom and pop kind of store with actually a great variety of stuff. She always holds my 1 year old daughter whenever we go in. So friendly. We were big H-Mart shoppers and we would normally make the drive to Jersey from Albany at least 2-3 times a month for all our Asian necessities, but since finding this little gem, we just come here most of the time. I love the authentic ethnic products. If you like oriental foods this has most everything you need for preparing any authentic food. I take a woman originally from Korea there it's good for people who have EBT card as they will take it. Other similar stores don't. I don't read Korean so some products I have to ask my friend what is this? So bring a translator. The prices are fair.
