Read moreI have had their baked goods over the years and it is delicious, just stopping in with no preorder. However I unfortunately did not have a good experience as far as ordering ahead for these cupcakes. It was for a coworkers baby shower that was for her miracle baby. She wasn’t even going to host a baby shower for herself so this was it. She’s also a big dessert girl so to have this be the outcome was very disappointing. I called in advance, almost 2 weeks ago prior to the 4th of July weekend and asked for vanilla cupcakes, blueberry filling and cream cheese frosting with a lavender colored frosting. They confirmed it could be done during the holiday.
I show up today as planned and they lost the order. None of the cupcakes were ready. They ask and confirm on my phone if I actually placed the order here, double checking the location of the call which I understand why they asked but at the same time made me feel a type of way as if I made the error when it was their mistake. The head person asks me what kind of cupcakes i ordered and “if I wanted sprinkles?” as if it would make the situation all better. He didn’t ask what it was for, when the cupcakes needed to be ready by, take the time to make a potential plan that would work for both of us. He just decided that he’s got some vanilla cupcakes in the back that they’ll wipe the frosting off and pipe the blueberry filling. At this point I said just add regular frosting instead of the cream cheese lavender color because I’m feeling defeated and I not a conflict type person which I guess is my fault. Then they come out with the cupcakes show me what they made which is the pictures below. Prior to seeing my cupcakes I see the other person next to me have a beautiful custom cake made. I’m feeling an embarrassed to give these cupcakes to her that clearly look like a mistake with these residual sprinkles and I’m gonna have to fix it. They charged me $1 per cupcake making it $20 ish. I get they baked those goods but given the circumstances of what I asked for and what I got, I really should have paid nothing.
I get mistakes happened. But what I care more about is that it didn’t feel like they cared about what it was for or the significance. They just wanted to fulfill the order and move on. I’m very disappointed in the lack of empathy of the situation. Unfortunately I don’t know if I will order ahead here again based off...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the interaction I just had with the manager. I ordered a cake from Bella Napoli, I asked for a vanilla cake, the girl said they don’t have vanilla only yellow, I SPECIFICALLY stated WE DO NO LIKE YELLOW, and got ready to end the conversation, the girl said wait we actually do have vanilla! I said great and placed my order for pickup for the next day. Upon cutting the cake, it was in fact YELLOW. I spoke to a manager, who didn’t even say her name when getting on the phone, it is whatever female manager that was working on Thursday 1/21/21 at 5pm. She argued with me saying they don’t have WHITE cake, that yellow is vanilla, a simple google search will show a vanilla cake is EITHER white or yellow, the point is I specifically stated that I DID NOT WANT A YELLOW CAKE, if that’s all they served was yellow and it was an apparent difference why did the girl WHO WORKS THERE not know there was a difference nor know what they serve at her place of employment? At the end she said to bring in the uneaten cake that I already told her we threw out, and then even THE MANAGER started mixing up the two (saying vanilla was white and yellow is yellow)! I called her out on it, she tried correcting herself and continuing to argue I interrupted and said thank you and hung up. RIDICULOUS! The cake was $15+ for a very small cake, waste of time and money, had I been properly informed by the worker who should know what her work serves, I would have went to Walmart who has a much cheaper and better cake. I go here very often, I will not be returning. Hope the $15 was worth it, I’m sure you don’t care that you lose one customer based on your poor attitude and customer service, I can confidently conclude that is a fact. I don’t believe the customer is always right, but in this case I WAS, own your mistake and shut...
