Mark Thomas Men's Apparel — Attraction in Town of Colonie

Hate to be the bearer of bad news as it seems this place has a good reputation but I set an appointment on their website for 2pm got to their store on wolf road and the doors were locked and they looked closed? Tough for me because I own a business and I blocked out time in my day to potentially elevate my business look and it seemed I blocked that time for nothing. Also called Saratoga and no one picked up. Definitely a thumbs down and makes me fun shy to set up any future appointments here

EDIT PER RESPONSE I unfortunately never received an email from your system and it stated on google you were open. i did however see the response your team sent me a few minutes ago and hope my experience at your store will rectify this initial hiccup.

FIRST EDIT Went in this afternoon and Gavin and staff did a great job looking for the style for me and elevating my look just what I wanted. Not to mention a sports business coat I’ve been looking to get for years that fit perfectly. If it wasn’t for the mishap with the scheduling this would of been a 5 star all day long but that did disrupt a work day for me and I wish their email system worked properly to send out the appropriate email. Probably something the store should look into or update their google hours when they are closed and make sure their appointment schedule book is blocked off and doesn’t allow you to schedule a day that they are closed.

At any rate I’ll be back continued great customer service there could have me come back to google and edit this to 5 but that one situation still lingers.

Owner came up to me today when I picked up the pants to apologize for the situation and they also had items I would like from my previous purchases. I really liked that and showed me a top level of customer service. Mistakes happen with the scheduling but they more than made up for it and they got a regular customer moving forward. Great...

I shopped at Mark Thomas Men's Apparel for the first time tonight, and it was my first time in a high-end menswear store. I e-mailed the store ahead of time to let them know that I had recently completed an online fashion course to learn about what I should be wearing, and that I needed an entire wardrobe overhaul, getting rid of my college-days clothing and the threadbare work clothes I was still wearing.

Mark, Tom, and Grace spent two entire hours helping me try on suits, slacks, gloves, sweaters, jeans, blazers, sportcoats, and shirts. This is service that goes beyond the exceptional. They were courteous, encouraging, and had helpful suggestions and ideas to improve and elevate my style. I was quite nervous about this entire fashion project and trying things on, and they put me at ease immediately. They were also generous with the pricing, which as a financial planner, I value. Mark and Tom were able to guide me to quality pieces that were worth their price, and were honest about when I could find a better deal elsewhere. They also made suggestions without being pushy, and accepted without question my taste and preferences-a skill that more salespeople could use!

I was in need of a quality suit for a friend’s rapidly approaching wedding and for occasional future business events. At the age of 44 I still had never owned a suit that wasn’t off the rack at a department store, and to say that I am uneducated at suit-purchasing and all things fashion-related is a gross understatement. I was a bit nervous entering Mark Thomas Men’s Apparel, but the gentleman that greeted me at the door (Founder Thomas Fagan) immediately put me at ease with his outstanding customer service, expert guidance and wit. I also had the pleasure of meeting the current owner Kerry Fagan, Thomas’s son. Like his father, he too was extremely welcoming, engaging and helpful. I didn’t think businesses like this existed anymore, the ones I had only heard of where customers are treated so exceedingly well and with such care. In fact, my purchase was expedited at no additional cost so that I will have it in time for a wedding that is in less than two weeks. I’m beyond confident that I will be able to update this review with even more positive things to say about Mark Thomas Men’s Apparel once I have picked up the finished product. This well-established family business is a cornerstone of the local community, a credit to the Fagan family name, and will be receiving both my business and my highest recommendation...
