I URGE ALL BIPOC INDIVIDUALS TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!
I have never felt as disrespected and discriminated against in all my life, as I did upon coming into this sephora location.
The following experience took place on Monday, September 25, 2023 around the time of 1:45pm.
I chose to shop at this location under the assumption that it would be upstanding. However, unfortunately, I was terribly wrong.
Upon entering my husband and I were not greeted. I stood at the front of the store for a few minutes, visually scanning around for the cosmetic brand I wanted to purchase...still not one employee approached us. As we made our way over to the left of the store towards Fenty cosmetics, I noticed and made eye contact with several employees that didn't seem busy, but yet again, no engagement. As I stood and browsed the Fenty area for the item I wanted, again, I was not approached. While in the area, however I did notice another customer or two of a different skincolor than mine, walk in. I watched as they were greeted swiftly and helped to their desired areas. After an unsuccessful search for my item, we walked over towards the Laneige area. Again, as I crossed to the other side of the store, not one employee approached us. At this point, I contemplated leaving. As we approached the Laneige area we were [finally, and promptly] greeted by an employee by the name of Coco. I expressed to her how, appreciative I was for her greeting and assistance, unlike her neglectful coworkers. She responded to me that she actually noticed my experience and wanted to help me in any way. After telling her about the item I wanted, she searched for it, but it wasn't in-stock. I also wanted to have a color-match done, so I could purchase a foundation. She told me she was going on a lunch break, but would put me in the hands of another employee that would help me. My response to her was: "I appreciate it, but No Thank you. I wouldn't want anyone to help me that had already purposely ignored me". She asked if I would be in the area, (I'm guessing to help me with a color-match, after her break), but I told her I had other errands to run, and was unable to return. She understood and helped me find a Laneige item I inquired about. Upon checking out, it was back to the feeling of racial tension. Unsurprisingly, the cashier was very distant and unpleasant, again, no greeting while approaching the counter. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location, ever.
Coco, was the best part of this whole ordeal. And frankly, she's the type of employee who's actions should be mirrored.
Every other employee that was present on this day and time, needs inclusivity training for consumer...
Read morethis location has the best staff and the best products. Usually in a lot of Sephora stores they aren’t that friendly but this location they treat you like family. The manager at this location is such a doll. She’s super helpful friendly and remembers her customers. The staff at this location are so highly trained. They teach you about make up while putting it on you for testing. Xavier was my sephora employee. He was so knowledgeable and helped me achieve the look that I was going for. He taught me so much about make up and how to apply it. I am so thankful for him. I will never go to anyone else he took his time to find the perfect shade for my olive skin tone and put me onto the best products. I will forever be going to him for the rest of my life because I love how he didn’t rush and took his time. He was patient and taught me so much in the short time that I was there about the products he was putting on my face and how to apply it. The reason why I also will only go to him because he’s so passionate at what he does and you can tell he loves his job.thank you so much for helping me and staying late. I will forever be a loyal customer at...
Read moreTo start off positive… love the location and the store is very clean. I’m a frequent shopper and I seem to have the most annoying experience when I visit this Sephora because of this person by the name Joanna. OMG to the point my family and friends experience the same thing. She seems to always make suggestions on things I DONT NEED or even ask for. She follows you a bit and talk so much to the point I want to walk out. Ironically I was in this location with her when the looters came in and she was in a frantic which made the whole situation unsafe. SMH I’m sure there is proper protocol but clearly she didn’t follow. She was yelling at one girl to go get a mic which made the looter aggressive. I used to work in retail and WE ARE NOT TO GET INVOLVED FOR SAFETY FOR OURSELVES AND OTHERS or that’s your job. None the least l adore coming as well as my kids to see Coco. She is a doll to be around, she get right to the point and is bouncing around the store helping so many clients at once. Fellow shoppers be aware of Joanna run and look for Coco or another worker. But I hope Coco really gets acknowledged for...
