Geneseo Theatres — Attraction in Town of Geneseo

Went in for the 9:15 pm show. My boyfriend ran late and got there about 9:45. He tried going in to get a ticket. Doors were locked. So I went out front and opened the door to let him in and we couldn’t get past the foyer. So the attendant which I’m pretty sure he’s the owner. Came to the door screaming about how we got in. My boys are still in the theater. I tried explaining to him that I came out and let him in and he wouldn’t listen to anything I tried saying. He went in the theater accused my son of letting my boyfriend and myself in. The same man just took money from me 45 minutes prior, and there was only us watching the movie, I had the tickets in my hand. But he’s yelling at my son about letting us in. My boyfriend naturally is upset and starts screaming at the man. He screams even more back. Wow. How redicilus. The movie wasn’t even at the halfway point and all the concessions are closed and there’s no one answering the phones. My boyfriend called 7 times and the hit 7 for a manager option just loops back to hit 7 for management. So he can’t call anyone. He can’t get in. His kid is wirh me in the theater. So I payed almost 40.00 to watch a move and got some popcorn. Watched 45 min of it and left half of the 7 dollar popcorn in the theater. What a waste of money all because my boyfriend was late, and apparently your not aloud to be late at...

I haven’t been to this theater in years but I figured I’d give it a chance for black phone 2 for the 5pm showing. None of this is on the staff of the theater, they were all great but short handed. The movie started late and the showing before ours was still playing well before the 5pm schedule. When we finally got in to watch the movie, the staff didn’t have time to clean the theater at all and we were all told to sit places where it wasn’t dirty. Again, this wasn’t on the staff, it seemed like they were short handed and doing what they needed to do. This was all on the ownership for not properly staffing the theater to have things run efficiently… during the movie… we had a couple in the same row as us with a new born baby… the couple also had their phone going with some kids show for the baby. This was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had at a movie theater. Staff was great but desperately need more help… also… the movie ran longer than scheduled so there were gusts/customers constantly opening to door to check to see if the movie was finished so they could enter...

Do not take kids to this theater! Unless the movie is playing in the stadium-style theaters in the back, your child will not be able to see over the back of the new seats. I had been so excited for the new seats to come so we could return to safely watching movies in Geneseo without falling through seats or worrying about catching tetanus from nails sticking out of the seats. As the advertisements for the new seats showcased recliners, I assume I wasn't alone in assuming the theater would feature this upgrade. It appears a limited number of recliners are right down front in some of the theaters. The rest of the new seats are very high backed and not particularly comfortable. My 6 and 8 year olds could not see over the tops. I moved my youngest to an aisle seat so he could see some and he just could not get confortable. My 8-year-old sat on his knees and was also uncomfortable. My husband was so uncomfortable, he had to stand up. I cannot believe someone purchased these seats and never wondered how people of all sizes would fit in them. What a major misstep and...
