Art in Mind Creative Wellness Studio — Attraction in Town of Glenville

Just wanted to share about a fun experience our Ladies Ministry group had as Art in Mind came to us! Having 20 of us took the challenge to create a "masterpiece" corresponding with the theme of an upcoming, LYFE Women's Conference in PA. We chose the challenge of creating the Tree of Life as designed by Bri, an artist at the Wellness Studio. She and Delana joined us at Trinity Baptist Church in Niskayuna, bringing all the supplies, their expertise, a great deal of patience, and much laughter. They were encouraging, helpful in their instruction, and found the beauty in each of the uniquely styled paintings. If you're thinking of something unique to do with a larger group, whether it be for team building, fellowship or celebrating a special event, I'd encourage you to check out the Art in Mind Studio! I'm sure spending time in the actual studio would be equally fun, but with folks coming from a variety of towns in the area, we were all so appreciative of the convenience of gathering in our familiar spot. If you're considering a group gathering for church, school or work, or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion, I'd suggest you consider having the artists from Art in Mind lead you in some fun. So easy to prepare for, and No Experience Necessary. We had a wonderful time and many (even some who weren't able to attend), have suggested a repeat visit. Personally, I support a young woman with disabilities who has been growing her skills through private lessons with Kathy, the studio's owner. Now, I understand her excitement with each lesson. The most incredible homeschool art class I could ever hope for! It is with a heavy heart that my family is moving out of state, not because we dread the move but because we dread leaving Art In Mind. I kid you not, our family looks forward to coming to art class every week and drag our feet to leave when it's over. You won't find a more family-friendly, educationally well-rounded venue for kids to learn about art history, artists, techniques, vocabulary and more. Took my kids (7 and 5) here on 11/9/2019. Wasn't sure what it would be like, but it turned out to be incredibly fun - for both the kids and the adults. Laura was attentive and encouraging, without being intrusive. For the walk in sessions, you pick a canvas size, then Laura will trace out a picture you select, or you can draw it yourself...and then go to it!
