This place was truly fun, but there was just a couple things that kind of stick to us/our group. first of all as soon as we walk in the door, we see an unsupervised toddler running around. The toddlers parents were waiting for these teenagers to probably get their food.. speaking of the teenagers… we noticed teenagers were extremely rare to find there. Except for the ones at the front desk. I do not recommend coming around 2:00 as we simply noticed there is only one teenager at the front counter. We literally had to say it” hello sir, excuse me”! This teenager looked like he did not clearly enjoy the working condition/being the only worker/having so many kids waiting for him to do things. Let me just let you know that as soon as we got in it took about 5 to 7 minutes to just wait in line to get the tickets. Of course we got the basic pass because we don’t really need to do golfing or anything. But all of a sudden they make an announcement while we’re in the play place that laser tag is now closing, and that the last round would happen. But of course, since the speakers weren’t loud enough, no one heard them and they just close without any notice or warning. I also have a little issue with some of these games.. the cards are very scam/cheap type. and I instantly ran out just playing a couple games. on the other hand, I guess it was pretty nice because at the end we got 86 tickets. you might be wondering, what did we get well you can get a ninja a little alien attached with a little parachute and a frog toy, which was kind of like the ones that you can just bounce anyway in the background we decided to go on things like the carousel, the play place and my favorite of all the bumper cars the only thing that was truly wrong with the bumper cars was just three little things, but at the end of the day they don’t matter that too much. but the lady swore in front of little kids too the one that works at the bumper cars. The next thing what’s the bumper cars were a little bit too old I don’t know how old the places, but they looked pretty ran down and I’m pretty concerned because the last thing is there was no seatbelt meaning it was kind of like a strap it and it’s a risky thing. The play place is cool. There is some fun spots, but other than that it is extremely dirty and no parents are watching their children whatsoever. Also, most of the kids who go in the zone for toddlers look like little kids when they clearly don’t in my eyes because I know what a five-year-old looks like and most of the kids could have a conversation that a kid over four and there was some little kids that looked around three or two but other than that yeah the bathrooms are a little weird and it’s a bit hard to close them overall give it a 2.5 but for the sake of it, let’s give you guys three

We came here for my Son's birthday. I called days in advance to inquire about how parties work, what the costs were, how the rental rooms work. I thought the gentleman I spoke to for 10 minutes about it all was quite helpful... that is until I arrived. I asked quite a lot of questions. I was told that I would be able to bring our own food/drink. I was told if I wanted I could rent a room, but it wasn't really needed because I could bring in what I wanted and use the open tables. I was like "wow, that's amazing of you guys". After we showed up and I brought out pizza, sodas and cake, I had someone show up and tell me that carry ins weren't allowed. I assured the man that I called ahead and spoke to them and was told quite clearly that it was OK. I took out my phone and showed him the record of my call. He said I was welcome to get my guests and our food/drink and leave and he would refund our wristbands. This was not a possibility given that parents had dropped off their children and I was responsible for them all.

Funset Boulevard is part of the Marcus Hollywood Cinema complex which is located in a major shopping district near The Fox River Mall. It is an indoor amusement center that also has outdoor mini golf. The interior features a huge arcade area with every type of game, a full size carousel, lazer tag, bumper cars, mini bowling, and a kiddie climbing play area which also has a small train ride within it. Many of the arcade games issue tickets for prizes and candy. There are rental party rooms as well as a full on 50's style dining area filled with Hollywood decor and memorabilia. Food and adult beverages can be purchased and consumed there or taken into the attached theater. The staff are friendly and helpful. This place definitely puts the "fun" in Funset.

Updating my review to no stars if it would let me… they have went digital, which is great but no longer take points saved on other forms. We don’t all follow along on Facebook. When we came at the beginning of summer or in spring 2024 never noticed anything to redeem points around the facility before the end of the year. Also wasn’t looking for it. If I would have known the 2nd half of the year what was happening we would have spent those points. Also when we did try to spend them at the first half of 2024 they didn’t have much to pick from in larger prizes in our point range. Unless we wanted 3160 of small prizes that are junk. My son was upset today when we couldn’t cash out his 3160 saved points on a paper voucher ( which has NO expiration date on it and when asked when we were saving points if there was an expiration date was told no!). The years and money put into that wasted! I feel slightly robbed but more upset for my son who probably saved those points for at least 5-6 years!!! He is 9 now! What a joke. Could still accept them, what does it hurt… oh yea the child trying to turn them in 😞. There are plenty of other arcade places who will get our business now.

We really do love going here. My son loves the games, rides, and play area. However I had to drop a star because it’s a little slow going. I stood in line for about 30 min. To be told at the counter the pizza would be a 50 min wait. It would have been great to occasionally let people in line know that. And yes I understand they are probably short staffed like every where else. But the worst was the 2 person soccer game near the bumper cars. My son slit his pointer finger and bled bad. By the time we got to the bathroom we both had blood covered hands. We got it cleaned up and wrapped it in paper towel. I tried to find someone in charge but the young girl behind the counter said she could help. She grabbed a first aid kit and got my sons finger taken care of. Gave him extra tickets. She was great, thank you for that! I showed her what was sticking out on the handle and could definitely cut others But they never took the game “out of order”. Not sure why they wouldn’t, I hope no one...

First time visiting here in a REALLY long time and we were unfortunately super disappointed! I will say that my family and I did have some fun playing games together, winning tickets, and my youngest went on the bumper cars…But so many games were out of order so tons of people were waiting in line at each game. Some games took your tokens but it didn’t work… a Cpl times they won the jack pot but did not get the tickets for it?! My fiancé had a poor experience up in the restaurant area-long wait time just to get ONE drink?! Then they gave him the wrong drink and it was like $13!!! But that is not even the worst of it… I spent $40 on tokens which was like 210 tokens that 4 of us all shared. I know that the three of them EACH won at the very least 60 tickets! So around 180( probably more tho) I myself won a Jackpot of exactly 120 tickets!! So we are talking at least 300 tickets between us all! My girls and I went to go cash the tickets in and the girl who goes to weigh the tickets…you can tell she was purposely standing in front of the scale to block the view so you cannot see what the actual # of tickets is! She hands us a slip that she writes the amount on and guess what it said…. 125!?!! I looked at her and said you are telling me that’s how many tickets we have? 125!? She said yes!!! I told her well that’s a lie because I know for a FACT that I won 120 tickets on a Jackpot-on just ONE game and three other people had stacks of their own tickets on top of my 120!!! You’re telling me three ppl played multiple games and combined they won 5 tickets!!!!??? She had a guilty/shocked look on her face and all she said was hmm that’s weird?! One of my daughters got a cheap whistle for 50 tickets, the other got a mini sized Air head candy for 50 tickets and one tiny dum dum sucker for 20 tickets!!! What a joke! And there were also unsavory people outside hanging around the building who looked like druggies! This place has really gone down hill… but the scamming people out of their tickets and over priced prizes is what REALLY...
