
I initially joined Crunch in Poinciana, Florida, where I experienced a clean environment, well-maintained facilities, and commendable trainers along with excellent customer service and equipment. After returning to New York, I decided to try the Hamburg location, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
While the Hamburg location offers the advantage of minimal wait times for gym equipment, other aspects are lacking. For instance, the equipment is so outdated or broken. Looks like equipment from the early 90’s. The tanning room's cleanliness was concerning; it would take approximately ten minutes to address the significant mess, which appeared to be tanning lotion splattered on the walls and floor. ( at least that’s what I hope it was) Additionally, trash accumulation suggested that it had not been changed in days, despite my visit occurring at 9 a.m. It was almost full.
Furthermore, the fan ventilation system, designed to provide clean air during tanning sessions, was ineffective in the antiquated tanning booth, as the circulated air was stale, with dust and debris visibly caked into the screen. I was a member for two-three years but when I moved and started going to LA Fitness I tried to cancel my member ship, all of which took a total of 6 months. I was always treated negatively when I came in, or called to cancel and was never allowed to speak to a manager. The managers were always on vacation, out of the office, or just never there. They claim you can cancel at any time but it is a scam. Even though my membership has been officially canceled they still charge my card for two distinct charges a month, $63.99 and $54.98. Read moreThe staff is rude. They stand around flirting with each other, and are unprofessional. There was a problem with my account, I swipe my card every time I come into the gym, yet no one let me know there was a problem. Months went by then finally one of the girls at the front desk said something to me, I had to pay $200 and they wouldn’t take late fees off. This has happened many times. They don’t send emails if there is a problem with my account no phone call, nothing. I had one of the girls tell me “it’s not our job to notify customers of problems with their accounts.” They are just plain rude.
