Christmas Tree Nursery Farm — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

This was my first time purchasing a live tree and it was no a great experience. As soon as I pulled up, there was no real greeting. The other owner was sitting in the car the entire time. The only time he stepped out was for me to pay with my credit card. No greeting, just a thank you when I signed. The gentlemen who helped me made me feel more like I was being pushed a sale over a good experience. He opened up a tree and said it costs $100...I asked if it was 7ft because my husband doesn't want that. He said it should fit in your home...I said that's not the point, my husband doesn't want a large tree, so he places the tree on the ground and walks across to measure it and says it's less than 7ft. Then, I said well, do you have any trees that cost less, he said this is the going rate for a Frazier fir. I said my friend googled it and saw average price is $70...he dropped it to $80 ( I see on my account, I was charged $86.90...tax was not mentioned). Then there came time to place the tree on my car. I told him I had a blanket because I didn't want it to scratch my hood, he said the pines are soft, so it wont' scratch, I said I don't care, I want to use my blanket. so, we did. He tied it up to where one of the strings popped off before I reached home. There was no netting for the tree or anything. I was just so upset. I went to Home Depot afterwards to get a tree stand and I saw they had a nice collection of trees, same tree was $50-$60 there and they net the tree for you. I will be going there next year. I thought me telling him it was my first experience would let him know what I needed some help along the way, but instead he must have saw me as a customer who knows nothing and he's going to take me for all I got. I'm so unhappy. The only reason I got it from them was because my son really wanted a live tree and I didn't want to chance us not getting one. I DO NOT recommend going to this place unless you're a regular from the neighborhood. Maybe they will treat...

DO NOT GO HERE IF THIS IS THE LAST PLACE AVAILABLE!!!!! The owner is so rude and nasty and we left without a tree. Called the night prior to inquire about their tree selection AND price and was given incorrect information. I was disgusted that he wanted to charge me $200 for a tree 3 days before Christmas. When I said I’ll go elsewhere because that’s crazy he tried telling me I won’t find a tree anywhere else at this time and started to argue with me. I asked if he was working last night because I spoke with a nice man and specifically asked about pricing and he told me “I don’t answer our phone”. Overall really disappointed with the establishment and truly doesn’t care about the holiday spirit at all. Completely deceitful. Try to pass off trees as taller than they are and have the trees tied up so you can’t actually tell what they look like....

If only I could I would give them a negative star. Horrible experience and horrible tree. Before coming I called and asked for a price of a Fraser Fir 8/9 feet tree, a lady on the phone told me it’s the same as last year, basically saying it will be whatever we paid last year which was 160$. At the time we came over the guys we met didn’t even want to open the tree for us claiming it’s hard for them to tie it up later and they gave us their word it is a Fraser fresh tree. Such a lie! It is dying after just one day! And the price they asked crazy 225$. Horrible experience and product! Do not go there ever. If not for my crying toddler I would have never buy this joke of a tree.
