On January 14,2018 I was driving out of the parking lot of the Stop & Shop at 465 Atlantic Ave, Oceanside, NY, when I had my car crashed into by a stack of shopping carts that were being pushed by a Stop & Shop employee. There was minor damage The stack had so many carts the employee ,by his own admission , could not stop the momentum of the stack when he saw my car pass in front of him. I asked him to get a manager. He returned with an assistant manager who brought the produce manager with her. She handed a note book and pen to the produce manager and instructed her to take my info. The produce manager asked "what kind of info" and was instructed to take my license plate, type of car from the registration sticker along with my name and phone number . The assistant manager then left the scene. After taking my name and number the produce manager was saying something like Ok we are done here, someone will get in touch you. I replied that I was not leaving till I had more info about how this was to be settled and that we agreed on the facts. I was instructed to park and go to the office. Inside the office was the store night manager, the assistant manager and the notes from produce manager. The store manager called a number to phone in a report and it turned out he incorrectly called asset management and was told he should be calling risk management. When he did reach them he had to repeatedly ask me the questions they were asking him . Questions like , what color is the car, was it the passenger side, was I the driver etc . All questions I believe should have been asked and recorded at the scene, which ,by the way, was right behind the manager's office. After the phone call I had to ask for contact information and case #. Finally I was told that this will be handled very quickly and I shouldn't be surprised if I received a phone call that very evening. It's 4 days later, I haven't heard a thing, and I am in limbo about what is going. I am not upset about my property being damaged but I am furious of the way this was handled by the manager & asst manager. I will not shop...
Read moreI went to the stop and shop on Atlantic Ave Oceanside. I had a cashier named Victoria. It says that name on my receipt.she took her scanner and scanned my eyes. It was an accident but did not say anything. I gave her a rain check for something. She called over Kathy, I guess that’s her supervisor. Kathy was sarcastic to me when I asked her a question about the rain check.I’m always in the store you would think I would get a little more respect then what I received. At the end of the transaction the cashier never said thanks. I never write reviews but this time I did I went to Stop and shop on January 9 2025. When I went to get a yogart from the refrigerator, I backed up 2 inch’s to close the door. Some women put her cart right behind me and I hurt my back. It’s not the first time I got hurt in this store. In August I cut my hand in the restroom on the sharp edge of the paper rack. I was bleeding bad. Rich the manager to me to call the store and get an accident number and phone number to call. When I called he said I’ll call you back with their number. He never called. 1 month after that I was walking in the store and a lady was coming at me with her wagon, I quickly moved out of the way and pulled a glute muscle. As mentioned in the previous review I had got my eyes scanned from a cashier. Got no apology. On Jan 9about 2:30pm customer service was closed. My complaint solely pertains to the customer service manager at this location , Libby as well as individuals that work at the customer service counter . The manager was highly disrespectful, and rude, passing comments to me using inappropriate language. She should not be working in a customer service position where she will deal with your customers who keep your store running. The other individuals at the customer service counter were also highly disrespectful. Especially in today’s times you should have staff who know how to treat their customers in a more respectable manner. After my experience today I will no longer be shopping at this location after being a customer for at least ten years. My family and friends will also no longer shop at this location after learning of my experience . It’s sad because there is so many good people looking for a job.
