Will’s Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Look, the bagels here are great in my opinion and definently recommend them, however after giving the place many chances, the disorganized service and inability to make anything further makes this place really poor.

Egg sandwich tasted like the lid of the salt fell off while making the sandwich. Never a had a bagel with SPK that was so bad.

Ordered buttered bagel on multiple occasions and it felt like a bad game where the person making the sandwich found it fun to put all the butter on one section of the bagel and a droplet in the rest.

Ordered bagel with strawberry cream cheese that clearly had been sitting out too long and went sour. Not fully sour but just enough where you knew you shouldn’t finish it.

Overall service is crazy. Cashier to sandwich makers yelling at each other about missing items or certain items being for someone else. They seem to write down your order but again another silly game where it seems they prefer to make the order without it and see if they don’t mess it up.

The food is really good with lots of great options, but the service there isn’t the best. It was my first time there, and the girl at the cashier was being extremely rude to me and just overall acting like she didn’t want to be there. She was just really impatient with me and giving me some glares in my general direction when I don’t even know her. She was acting like I ruined her day. She also didn’t say hi, bye, or have a nice day, even though she did for some of the customers she knew really well (she was having a conversation with a guy for like 10 minutes while there was a line behind him). I didn’t really feel welcomed by her and overall felt uncomfortable and I don’t think I’d go again, but it was just my general experience. Went today 6/28 for the first time around 1:30pm and was immediately given a dismissive, rude attitude from the lady at the register. She didn’t even look up at us to take our order, was slamming tickets on the counter, throwing the bagel tongs, hiding in the walk in fridge and needing to be told to come out to take orders. And our order was wrong but didn’t even want to go back into there because of the lady’s vibe.
