J City Hair — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Absolutely horrible experience. My daughter went in for a haircut with Alex and she specifically told him to take 4 inches off. While he initially cut 4 inches off, he continued to make her hair shorter and shorter. I told him multiple times to stop shortening her hair, and he would not listen. She asked for a simple straight-across cut, nothing fancy. Instead, he kept thinning and shearing her hair when she NEVER asked for that. When she finally got up from the chair, her hair was completely butchered — longer on one side than the other. Uneven, sloppy, and nothing like what she asked for. My mother discovered this place a few years ago and it has been the best thing to happen to us. Previously we would get our Japanese hair straightening done at a place that would treat you more like an assembly line than a customer, and J City Hair is the opposite. I moved 1,000 miles away to Georgia however I still make sure to come back to Ny and get my hair done at J City twice a year, that’s how great they are. They offer a welcoming, warm environment and tend to you throughout the whole process. My hair always comes out absolutely perfect and it is not dried out and damaged like it used to come out at the other place. did the liscio treatment and got extreme hair loss bc the taller woman in there didn’t know what she was doing lmao edit okay, it was the japanese hair straightening thing with the double process hair creams and washing, blow drying, and straightening my hair in between. my hair was over processed during that because a different woman did my hair straightening. and she didn’t tell me that my hair fell out. my first experience at this salon was great and a man and hispanic woman did my hair the first time. they did test strands and cared. but my second experience wasn’t great. also i definitely went to this salon because i know you’re located next to cherry valley...
