Garden City Community Park — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

The parking lot is huge, and the park is pretty big. The park has all artificial turf fields, which might make one thing there'd be less insect shenanigans- but, no - wasps (paper/yellow jacket) are abundant, among other unpleasant pests, including the now infamous plethora of lantern flies. The fields are pretty big, and look manicured due to the turf. There is a small mini golf course, which is in need of some repairs/maintenance. The walkway, and parking lot lay out is not convenient. Very nice sport complex with 4 baseball fields , hockey rink, soccer/football field and also a community swimming pool for the residents of Garden city. All maintained very well.
