Levittown Plaza — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

The parking lot is in desperate need of repaving and lacks clear directional signage and pavement markings. If Dortoni weren't in this place, I would never come here. The lanes for two-way traffic are tight, and that combined with narrow parking spaces make the west end of this lot very difficult to navigate. People frequently park in the fire lane to pick up and drop off passengers, making it even harder and riskier to navigate. The planned opening of Uncle Giuseppe's in the former King Kullen space will only make this lot much worse due to overflow into the west-end spaces. Traffic coming off Hempstead Tpk onto the HTpk service road that feeds into this lot only makes it more dangerous for drivers and pedestrians to access the westernmost line of businesses. If there were any intelligence applied to the traffic flow process here, traffic would be blocked from entering the two westernmost lanes of this lot via the service road, instead of diverting the flow to the safer eastern areas of the lot, OR completely eliminate the service road as an entrance to the lot, revising the gas station lot and make it all part of a better right-turn lane...

If you're looking for Dortoni's - this is where they reside - Pricey but recommended. Starbucks and King Kullen are the anchor stores here and City MD has become a popular location since COVID. Dominico's Pizza is also popular for some reason - I'm personally not a fan. Florist is small; but sweet staff who put together nice bouquets. There's a Poke place in there now as well; but they're a bit costly for what you get - food's not bad though. Naz' Halal is also in the strip mall - sub par food; but good in a pinch.
