I have to preface this by saying he did great on my tongue and nostril piercings. But then I did another one, and nothing went quite right. Right after it was in I asked if it wasn’t too tight, was told it wasn’t and I could come back if it really bothered me later on. Day after I was back to put in a longer bar, got told it was a 3/4”. It wasn’t. Two days later (day 3) it was still very painful and swollen to the point I couldn’t really see one of the ends. I was told to ride it out, take lots of ibuprofen, wash with warm water. No piercer should ever tell you to “ride it out” when the piercing is becoming embedded, waiting could cause huge complications. The next day, I was in excruciating pain. I called and he told me he would remove it. I said I could not accept that, that there should be a fix and hung up. He did call me back and suggested a minor change to the problematic jewel. I ended up calling a more reputable piercer and was lucky to get an appointment. I was told that the jewelry choice was not correct for the type of piercing - not type nor size. I was shown that the supposedly 3/4” was not 3/4” but closer to 1/2”. It was too small a gauge too. I was also informed that Matt unnecessarily pierced too much tissue and if I wanted to keep it, it would take “a couple of years” to heal - and that by piercing so much it would’ve been a much more painful procedure than it should’ve been. I ended up keeping it, it’s been a significant investment - financially and physically. To illustrate the pain level, getting this fresh piercing replaced with a larger gauge hurt less than getting it done the first time, and right after it didn’t hurt a fraction of what it had been hurting before. Oh, and there was a dog in the studio! Cute but not really hygienic. Just avoid this piercer. Seriously. It can go right, but it is likely not to and if it doesn’t you’re not going to get good advice or appropriate help. Also, it’s more expensive than many more reputable studios. Edit: Matt called me to say he didn’t understand why I chose to give him such...
Read moreFirst-time visit & PLEASE, PLEASE READ carefully & thoroughly. Matt is phenomenal, a professional & outstanding in what he does, to say the least. I recently got two piercings from two random places with a gun because I wasn’t too aware of piercing. So as an outcome my piercings got infected pretty bad, so on Sunday I did a Google search & found his place, so I went today. When I first arrived he greeted me nicely, took a look at my piercings, and told me about the costing (which was HIGHLY expensive), but I still did proceed with the procedure because of the reviews I have read beforehand. When he was starting the procedure, he made sure that my sitting arrangement was comfortable, then he went gently, explained step-by-step every little detail, (which is important to me as a teacher), as to why he's doing X Y & Z & the products that he was utilizing on my ears and nose areas. Throughout the procedure, he explained why gun piercing isn't safe without bashing the places I have gone to, so that was so professional, then explained why his charging for service is so costly. When I was in pain, he assured me with his kind words & demeanor. To be honest, even though that I'm not too fond of piercing, I can conclude that he's so cognizant or knowledgeable of his profession or craft. Moreover, he cares about his customer over the money, he cares about the well-being & satisfaction of his customer. Overall, the whole procedure cost me over $300, which I didn't mind because he deserved every penny & I can't THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR HIS PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. He's a gentleman & kind heart person. Thank you, Matt, for today! I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting any part of their body pierced, PLEASE DON’T GET SHOCKED by his range of price, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING BY HOW HE ARTICULATES/EXPLAINS HIMSELF & action. Keep being amazing, I can't wait for my next piercing SOON. Grateful for you today, you made my DAY by taking care of my infected ears and nose....
Read moreUpdate ….. I have since went back to Matt to redo my nipple piercing it was a Much better experience .We talked it out hugged it out nobody is perfect but his ability to rectify the situation was awesome . Not to mention the piercing looks awesome.
Went in for a nipple piercing . I had it before not done by Matt took it out during my pregnancy so I came to get it redone . I know my body told him I needed a long bar he pierced me and put in a curved bar not a straight . Didn’t feel comfortable about it nor the length but he’s the professional. Went home day 2 my nipple was swallowing the piercing I was in tremendous pain I called beforehand to let him know I was coming and if he could maybe come earlier he said no . I came a little before 12 and knocked he was obviously inside knew about the pain I was in and did not open until I knocked again after 12 . He changed to a slightly longer bar but snapped at me twice once to move my hand out the way which was on the chairs armrest and once when I was asking about the taper basically asking to walk me thru what he was going to do before he did it. He snapped at me and told me he was having a bad day due to car issues and basically to not ask question's . The bar he put in was to short once again and I was too uncomfortable to say anything else I thanked him and left . I was still in pain and ended up going to another piercer who took one look and let me know I was pierced way to deep on both sides and would have to take the piercings out let them heal and get them redone the right way . I paid 173.45 and gave a 30 dollar tip not to mention the second time I had to come up I had to take a Lyft to get there . I wouldn’t recommend I was in so much pain and to be treated like that I just can’t imagine referring anyone after...
