Three Dog Bakery — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

UPDATE: owner responded back to me more than a year later with a super unprofessional come back. Was I going to look miserable in a photo that I was there to take? No. Why would I purposely look upset…. Makes no sense to respond in that manner. You can also see my dog was upset in the photo and I was trying to make light of the situation since we drove there for that. Again, restating I will never ever come back even more now because of that unprofessional and condescending response from the owner! Do better and learn how to talk to people. Maybe you need to learn people skills before you operate a business.

I was very excited to come here today for grinch photos with my dog and my friends dog. It was the most awful first experience ever. My dog, who is a 10 month old puppy, who is still learning, was very excited and barking a lot because she wanted to say hi to the other dogs. I also have 4 other dogs at home and many friends with dogs that she plays with, so she is very friendly and playful (normal puppy behavior). The dirty looks and stares I got from not only employees, but customers, because she was freaking out, made me super uncomfortable and embarrassed. There was one older lady behind the counter who was smiling at me and tried to be friendly, but I still felt so out of place and unwelcome. I work at an animal shelter and understand when dogs, especially puppies, act like this, which makes me feel that these people don’t get it… I still supported them and purchased dog treats, even though I wanted to cry about how upset I was. There was a customer who walked out before me and heard me expressing how awful I felt and embarrassed I was and told me maybe I shouldn’t bring my dog here if I don’t like it, which completely set me off… There are way too many unhappy and miserable people in this world… None of your dogs are perfect, so don’t act like they are. So happy I found this gem! I was looking for a self wash that offered a little more privacy because Leo gets nervous and is reactive around other pets and people. I came across it after a deep google search, called and the person who answered was so kind and understanding and told me I could reserve the self wash so it was just us. The location was very clean and inviting. They explained how to use the self wash and made things very clear and comfortable for us. Something I appreciated was the space we were given, I find that some pet supply stores don’t know how to interact with reactive pets, and assume all pets are friendly. But the girls did not approach Leo or make things uncomfortable for him. The self wash is great, I found it a tad small for my 120lb shepherd but it was definitely doable. There are 3 choices for shampoo and one conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner gets mixed with the water which I honestly liked because it does get very sudsy but much easier to rinse out as opposed to pure shampoo. There’s also a dryer and you can adjust the strength. Two towels are also provided. We picked out some pastries and Leo is very picky but he loved the drooly dream bar (peanut butter flavored) I look forward to coming back to use the self wash ($19) and ordering cakes and other goodies and highly recommend this location for their products and especially...

Excellent experience at this super cute, clean , dog friendly bakery! The staff is very nice and knowledgable and the selection is amazing!

I was passing this bakery when my 6 year old daughter begged to go in. Based on the looks (so pretty!) , I assumed it was one of those overpriced pet supply stores and wanted to just walk by. Thankfully, she convinced me to go in and much to my surprise, there was such an amazing array of treats for my pups - all at affordable prices.

I ordered a few different treats - about six of them and it came up to about $13. Both of my dogs really loved the woofie pie the most and the pizza the least. Overall, they are usually picky but they really liked what I got.
