Brews Brothers Grille — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

We wanted to get some dinner and see a musician that was playing. Having never been here, I called to see if I needed to reserve a table. I was told that a reservation was not necessary. No tables were available and no one was available to ask. We stood for a few minutes and then got seats at the bar. For 5 minutes, the bartender walked back and forth and never even looked at us. I finally got his attention and ordered some beers. He put a bottle in front of my wife and she asked for a glass which generated a look. I ordered a draft that didn't quite taste right. We asked for some menus and he never came back to take an order. The waitress was also behind the bar so I caught her attention and told her we were leaving and wanted to pay. She gave me a bill and I handed her a $20 and she gave me change. Then I looked at the bill. The draft that I ordered had been advertised on FB for $6. She charged me $8. After a recommendation we decided to check this place out, went close to 7, first off the men in the corner were loud obnoxious and just foul mouthed, kinda felt bad for the female bartender. Think it was shift change because it took a bit to get our order in. The now male bartender hygiene was horrendous smells like a tooth infection almost didn’t order food, wish we stuck to that plan. The wings were dry and burnt, the medium sauce was ok. The potato skins I thought were gonna break a tooth and they tasted like saw dust. We decided not to order an entree finished the beers and left. I was gonna give it one star but the beers were cold and fresh. Neighborhood bar w/great food. The wings are award winning. The burgers are great. Was just there, w/a buddy who wasn't sure what to eat. The chef happened to be on the floow, overheard him, came over to the table, and asked what he'd like to eat. My Budd said, a blacked ribeye steak w/sweet potato fries...done! It was amazing!! I had the Chicken shrimp and sausage jambalaya which was amazing. They need to tighten up the service. They have one girl on the floor, all by herself. She tryed her best, is very friendly, but on a busy night it's overwhelming for her. Great kid though. They have weekly specials. Burger Monday's, taco Wednesday's. This place is a must...
