Unique thrift-
Never in my life have I experienced what I experienced in this store today. They had a huge markdown sale, so I was excited to drive from brooklyn to get some deals on the already cheap stuff they have.
I shopped, unbothered, and got to the register. All of a sudden, there's a woman, Allison, standing on top of me. Weird but I continue ringing my items up while she stared at me from an uncomfortable 1 foot distance, and nobody else using the register. Had to ask for a price, rudely she told me they don't price things and I asked for the manager. He came and informed me it was part of a set then apologized after saying she can be a bit rude when I mentioned it. I went back to the register to finishing ringing up my $11 worth of items, where now Tommy and Allison are now standing 1 foot away from me and my boyfriend, and staring at us telling us this is the store policy. There is no store policy that says you have to disregard peoples personal space and blatantly disrespect them by insinuating they are stealing. I do not know what the stereotype is for them to pick and choose who they harass in their stores, but I'm sure I do not fit the description of someone who looks like a thief. Even stranger that the manager cut his supposed break short to accompany her in doing this.
Really sad considering they did not do this to ANYONE else ringing their belongings up. I am so upset. They starting threatening to call the cops because I asked why they were doing this, they had security come and the man who escorted us from the store told us they do this to people regularly. Disgusting. Someone needs to update the employees here if this is how they run business. I will be back to shop regardless of these despicable workers but come on, it's a thrift store, not nordstrom. Watch...
Read moreAs of yesterday worst experience so far. I only ever went there for the trading card games that they had on the mezzanine level. Ive known the place for years. Its Very unprofessional. Mike the store owner in particular. I would recommend not going there at all. I have been going there for years and have had very little issues but issues that we're not small. From the store owner putting his hands on me because he thought that we were friendlier than what we actually were to the employees engaging in Ranchi conversations and vulgar humor I digress. The prices at Mike's store which deal in collectible statues, single purchase trading card games and various comic books are overpriced and counterfeit. Where things that are less than a dollar are priced up to $15 a piece. I mentioned this to one of the employees and he simply took it off the shelf and refused to sell me the product. Collectible statues have no markings of Authentication stamps or seals and are most likely counterfeit I took my friend there once who is an expert in collectible statues and she herself has never bought anything from them for that very reason she's been there a total of 4 times 3 times on her own. I would say to anyone who plays magic Pokemon Yu-Gi-Oh or anyone into collectible statues to avoid the shop save your money on counterfeit products on cheap products that are overpriced and dealing with employees that are rude and...
Read moreMany vendors are located in this building. Ranging from cell phone accessories to clothing.and fashion jewelry. There is a large section on the first floor featuring slightly used and second hand merchandise. Everything from knick knacks to books, electronics and toys. There are one of a kind items that definitely deserve a second look. Prices range from low to mid range on these items. Some items are probably better left for purchase at other stores. However, as the old saying goes "One person's trash is another one's treasure". You really need time to look as you can find some unique stuff here. Semi-used clothing, shoes and furniture are sold on the lower level. They have a mini arcade and gaming fun in the enclosed back section of the lower level as well. The mezzanine level has a great collectors' card show. While the second floor houses fine jewelry vendors (gold, silver and diamonds) as well as watch and jewelry repair shops. They sell food and snacks such as hot pretzels, cold beverages and pickles in the food court of the first floor. This place has plenty of vendors and items for the budget conscious...
