Village Streetwear — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

I’ve been getting my piercings from Village Streetwear since 16 years old and I can not say enough incredible things about them. Everyone there is not just incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. They do an amazing job and I place my entire trust in them. I’ve gotten a total of 14 piercings (I’m counting each piercing individually) with them over the years and I’m so thankful I stuck with them. They preform in an extremely sanitary, and safe environment and always let me know before-hand exactly how they are proceeding. If I’m rushing in too quickly to do something (changing my jewelry too quickly) they always make sure I’m well aware of the risk. I visit them all the time and at this point they all know me by name which is so sweet and makes me so happy. They are so welcoming and I’m so, so happy with all my piercings. I always know I’m safe with them and they always make sure I leave happy. They provide me with the knowledge and tools I need to make sure my piercings heal perfectly and they always do. They make sure I know what I’m doing and know how to take care of my piercings. I appreciate every single one of them and place my entire faith in them. I will never get pierced anywhere else, ever. I recommend Village Streetwear to all my friends. I always know I’m in perfect hands when I’m at Village Streetwear. Thank you so much for everything. You guys truly are the greatest. I'm sure the owner will write a lovely response to my review (yes I've read her petty responses to other reviews) but this is just a culmination of my knowledge after many years of getting and successfully healing piercings. My piercings from here did not heal well and I ended up getting repierced or jewelry changes elsewhere. This place uses bulky butterfly backs for fresh piercings which are generally not recommended because they trap bacteria easily. Lobes are done with the clicky white cartridges for like $50 (yes I know they offer needle lobe piercings, but it's not their default). Colloidal silver spray is one of the main "piercing cleaners" they sell and recommend, but if you do some research, it's a homeopathic remedy and at best, it does nothing. It's a big thing among the anti-vax community. It can cause argyria (skin permanently turning gray/blue from excessive silver buildup in the body). I've been to several other piercing shops on Long Island and every single piercer I spoke to thought it was crazy that this place encourages the use of colloidal silver and tea tree oil on healing piercings. Just use saline wound wash spray on them (yes I know they sell this too, but they also push you to buy/use colloidal silver and tea tree oil). The APP website ONLY recommends sterile saline wound wash on piercings. To anyone reading this, be diligent and do some research before you put anything on an open, healing wound. It's also confusing because they sell clothes and other random items here. The ladies here are nice, but anyone who comes here to get a piercing will be led astray.
