I took my mom here for Mother's Day brunch this past Sunday. So it seems that, after comparing our experience with the other reviewers, Sunday brunch is not their strong suit. First, the service was awful. Despite having a reservation and arriving on time, we stood at the front door waiting to be seated for about 15 minutes, while a staff of no less than 3 ignored us in favor of rearranging tables and setting up for an expected large party that wasn't even there yet, and while there were two available booths right next to us. I'm not in the restaurant business, but I would think you should prioritize seating the guests who are already there before preparing for those who are not. Second, the music... it was so uncomfortably loud. As someone else said, it was not suitable for a Sunday brunch, and particularly not for a Mother's Day brunch. The service, once we were seated, was extremely slow. The mimosas had no sparkle to them. If there was any champagne in them, it was flat, but they tasted like plain orange juice to us. I ordered a large salad, in which all of the ingredients were fresh and good, but it came with what amounted to maybe two tablespoons of dressing. After the first few bites, the rest of the salad was dry. My mom ordered pancakes that were supposed to be topped with whipped cream. Key words: "supposed to be." There was no whipped cream. Then my mom decided to have a White Russian as a Mother's Day treat. She received milk and vodka. I had to go up to the bar and ask the bartender to add the Kahlua. The worst part about all of these flubs is that the restaurant wasn't even packed. There were a number of empty tables and no one sitting at the bar, so I don't know why they had such a hard time getting things right or being attentive. I will say that the restaurant itself is a cute and comfortable place, and the staff, when they did engage us, were friendly and pleasant. But as someone else said in a prior review, the execution just...
Read moreI just arrived home and cannot wait to write this review. I have never been in an establishment where staff has had this amount of courtesy, respect, friendliness, just an overall very pleasant and comfortable vibe. My first time here felt like I was coming here for years,. Servers were Extremely attentive and personable. We had about 30 minutes of limbo, My wife and I did not know if we were staying or not , due to a babysitting issue. No one rushed us out, we were checked on several times, and accommodated to with consideration. The menu is amazing, the seasonal drink menu is amazing, you could tell their draft beer system is very well taken care of,. All I’m gonna say about the food is “Incredible “ Prices are average, The quality and portions are more than you could ask for Will definitely be returning* My wife and I have had a very difficult couple of months and things are finally winding down, this was An amazing experience that we really needed, thank...
Read moreWe went for Sunday Brunch and the ingredients are all here, but execution is missing. 1. The loud techno music on a Sunday morning is a bit much, maybe change that to a softer jazzier vibe. 2. The coffee is terrible; weak somewhat tasteless. so bad in fact, that I saw the staff go across the street for their own coffees. Sunday brunch has to have good coffee and it should keep flowing. 3. it's freezing, they have a space heater pointed on the bar, so they clearly know something is amiss, need the landlord to understand that nobody wants to eat Sunday brunch wearing our winter coats, hats and gloves. 4. The recipes are excellent, the kitchen knows what they are doing and the food was very tasty... but ... if you burn the bun for the egg sandwich - DON'T serve a blackened charred piece of coal. Toast it again and this time, don't burn it. 5. at these prices ($20/entree) the butter should be something a little more than just some non descript cheap...
