08/20/24.-Tue.: My First: (Re-Filed) Review; &, Then: I Up-Dated It; On: 10/16/24.-Wed.: ATTENTION! PLEASE NOTE: As Of: Tu.-08/20/24, The old: "Kwik Wok" Restaurant WAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED SOLD; &, "This Date" was the transfer of ownership of the property; &, assets day; &, it is now, Formally: "Kwik Wok"; &, Legally: the, new: "Kwik Wok". HOWEVER, The new owners have ONLY bought the right to use the same name; but; as stated; it now has (a,) TOTALLY different VIBE; MOOD; TASTE; KITCHEN STAFF; PRODUCTION METHODS; STYLES OF COOKING; EVEN FOOD; &, BEVERAGE SUPPLIERS; STAFF MEMBERS; POLICIES; MANAGEMENT; &, OWNERSHIP! ---PLEASE NOTE THOUGH; THAT: NO notice, at all; was given on the Internet; over the phone; or; at any time; to anyone; anywhere-!! I Can -NOT testify how all; nor: most, of the new food is! Hardly anyone can!; (so far). They RARELY EVER ANSWER ALL OF THEIR Phones! Why? This is totally batty for a Mostly Take-Out/Delivery Business! All Their numbers were NOT even answered, AT ALL; day, after day; after day; ALL day; until, in one case; even: 6:25 P.M.!; altho the opening is still posted at: 11AM! Plus: The new owners have really pretty poor English! I have been: "a, super-regular" for: years; &, have Spent MANY multi-thousands here; but, they NEVER told me one word, either! Now I feel that I CANNOT trust the new ownership! Why the previous owners: Mary; &, Tony; (&, David); &, the New Owners; did this INTENTIONAL, DECEPTIVE MANIPULATION to EVERYONE; is: --EXTREMELY HARD to understand!!! In addition, any good that was found here, was always inconsistent; spotty; &, uneven. In my limited exposure to all that's produced by new ownership; it is even more unreliable; unbalanced; undependable; &, hugely unstable output; w/: some of it. I've discovered this by trying a few orders; &, found some stuff to be quite bad; with the rest of things, being merely ok; or: mediocre; average; or, lacklustre; on standardly conventional item creation; while some of my ordered items; &, the service behind it; have been really terrible! For example, Many dishes; &, items are much smaller; contain far less meat; seafood; or: proteins; the rice is mushier; &, soggier; veggies are tinier; many are drier; hotter; more bitter; colder; duller; more sugared; less identifiable as themselves; more drowned in sauces; more chemicaled; less fresh; frozen; re-heated; re-packaged; re-purposed; re-used; discontinued or dropped; saltier; less cooked; differently cooked; improperly prepared; poorly made; greasier; oilier; spicier; more water filled; lower values; &, rigidly prepared w/: no accomodations; &, made with MUCH LOWER QUALITY INGREDIENTS; MUCH MORE SLOWLY DELIVERED; LESS UNDERSTOOD WHEN ORDERED; AND, MADE IN TOTALLY CHANGED WAYS; ETC.

Put Simply: All previous opinions: NO LONGER COUNT!!!

Bottom Line: In short, this is a, Brand New Restaurant, (with their same name); (it is), -JUST using the same old name; yet, w/: new, less experienced; and, much younger ownership. P.S.: Barely Any Reviews, at all; BY ANYONE; are: even possible yet!; SO,... BEWARE OF: FAKE REVIEWS; &, FAKE 5 STAR RATINGS; ESPECIALLY FROM: FOLKS; &, BUSINESSES "ASSOCIATED" W/: THIS RESTAURANT!!; but, going under different; or: unknown; &, unrecognizable names; such as, for example: "Song Chen"; "fologics 2"; &, "Matt Dods"; Etc.!

I wish I saw Andrew’s review from late August earlier. Looks like the prior owners (Mary / Tony / David) “retired/sold” the business to another owner. It’s also very deceiving the new owners kept the name Kwik Wok without acknowledging it was under new ownership.

As far as the new food goes, we ordered the following:

Chicken Lo Mein: Saucier and saltier than before Large Chicken and String Beans: Smaller portion than before and there was barely any chicken BBQ Spare Ribs: Mixed in old / re-barbecued spare ribs with a newer slab Pork Pan Fried Dumplings: Couldn’t tell if that was pork or chicken or something else

And yes, good luck placing an order over the phone. You may have to wait a while for...

The food is awesome and in our opinion it is the best take-out/delivery Chinese restaurant in the Merrick-Bellmore-Freeport area. Have lived in Merrick for 15+ years and would not consider any other restaurant for take out/Chinese food delivery. Mary & Tony (American names😊) are the owners of the restaurant and the entire family are a pleasure to deal with. The food is absolutely delicious and all of our out-of-town guests who have eaten their Chinese food at our home ALL comment about how wonderful their food is. In addition their free delivery times have been very reasonable and the food is always hot. Hope you to enjoy...
