Iv'e shopped this store about a dozen times since it's opening and possibly once in those times I was actually able to get everything that I needed as they always seem to be out of stock. Today I went to get an electric fence controller, wire, tester, and some other fencing idems, mostly needing the controller as some of the other things I did have already. All they had left were the really high priced controllers (solar) $300-$400 price range and all I wanted was something to keep deer out of my garden. I checked online before I left and according to their website they had what I wanted, but they didn't when I got there. The whole fencing dept. (including other parts of the store ) appeared to very very unorgainized with much stock in isles that I had to walk around. There was a sign on the shelf that said" excuse our mess, but due to Covid-19 we are unable to get to cleaning this stuff up" NOBODY has ever asked me if I needed help looking for something since this store has opened. I did get the wire and a few other things, paid and went to Tractor supply in Geneva. I was In the store about 5 minutes and they had the fencer I wanted ($49.99) and I had wished I had gotten the wire at TSC as it was about 1/2 the price of Runnings.TSC store was also clean with NO carts in the isles. One other time I went there wanting to talk with somebody about a varmit rifle and they had 1 person in the hunting dept and I must have stood around for about an hour waiting to look at some guns, I just left the store. I think its a good idea about having like a Lowes/TSC/Bass Pro all in one but for me from now on, Building materials: Lowes, Tractor/farm TSC, Guns Bass Pro, Interlaken Guns and ammo. Tired of driving 50 miles only to go somewhere else a lot...
Read moreWent into Runnings today and it was a disaster. We stood in the customer service line for 20 minutes because she didn’t know how to find the person in front of us order. So instead of saying anything all the other cashier just stood there in a gaze. I walked around to find someone to help us and my husband called the store. So I found someone and she said she doesn’t know if she can find out if a lawn mower was in stock. Yes we checked online and it said in stock. So here we were on hold on the phone, employees chatting to each other all over and waiting in line with a clueless service rep. Finally someone answered and check and said it wasn’t physically in stock but there was a comparable alternative. We looked at it and proceeded to the empty cashiers and was told that we need to go to the Stihl counter to cash out. Guess what CRICKETS, no one was there haha. So we stood for 10 minutes and decided to look the model up. It was horrible, not comparable, horrible reviews. Then we decided, why would we order from a place who didn’t want our business? No one to talk too, no one knows anything. The employees we saw were packing T-shirt’s away discussing which would look better on them. Like we felt like it was some prank of a joke store. Left and ordered from tractor supply. Lost...
Read moreWe pre ordered chicks and when we never got a call saying our chicks came in we drove there to check only to find out our order was sold already. When asked they told us to come back another day to ask someone else. The workers were rude and not good customer service either. Everytime we wait to check out, there are long lines on the only 2 registers open and there is a group of around 6 young workers who will just stand there to the left of the registers and make eye contact with you and go back to their conversations. Without fail. Never going to come back. This has happened way to many times to excuse this behavior.
Edit. We ordered our chicks months in advance and they were pushed back twice. We patiently waited 2 months for our birds. I do believe our order would of been up top. they even had our names and how many birds Were ordered on the paper slip above each chick bin when we went to go see what was wrong and why we were not called. How was it given to someone else when we even had our names and the amount of chicks were up...
