I’ve been to this Staples location multiple times, and every experience has been absolutely terrible, but today’s encounter took it to a whole new level. I waited in line for 30 minutes, patiently observing this UPS worker being rude to every customer before me. When it was finally my turn, he told me to step aside so his friend could cut in front of me. His attitude completely changed when his friend arrived, and for the first time, I saw him smile. Once his friend left, he immediately went back to being rude and unprofessional, treating me like I was a bother.
It’s not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with him either. The last time I was there, I watched him get snippy with an elderly black couple who had several returns. He then spent the entire time making disgusting comments about them while helping me. It was appalling and completely disrespectful.
This man has no business working in customer service. He was rude, dismissive, and downright nasty to customers. I don’t know his name, but he’s in his 50s-60s, balding, and a bit on the heavier side.
Looking through other reviews, it’s clear that I’m not the only one who’s had this awful experience. Multiple people have complained about the same rude behavior, and yet nothing has been done about it. It’s really frustrating to see that this issue has persisted for so long, and it shows a lack of accountability from management.
I won’t be returning to this location ever again, and I would strongly recommend that Staples reconsider having him represent their store. Complete disappointment. Avoid this...
Read moreI've had the WORST customer service experience at this store. Janine Cabral, the store manager at this Staples was straight up rude to me both in the store and when I called the store. She didn’t even try to listen or help, just acted annoyed and making passive aggressive comments and just started arguing with me over something simple.
She is super aggressive and has a bad attitude, and made me feel like I was just a nuisance. On top of that i overheard her making passive-aggressive comments about her own employees right in front of customers. It was honestly shocking to see a manager act like this and it is also shocking how Janine can become outright angry and yelling immediately.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen her act this way when i visit the store so it definitely seems like it’s just how she treats people. I’ve spent a lot of money at this store and used to like coming here but with her as a manager, it’s honestly not worth it anymore. Shopping here is uncomfortable and stressful.

Read moreI know this may not seem like much but I really would love to give a shout out to Christina at Staples (by Stop n Shop in East Islip) My grandfather passed away the other day and I had well over 100 pictures to scan into a USB. I asked for help to see if I was doing it right and Christina was just like 'give them to me and I'll scan them for you individually and have them ready for you by tomorrow.' I know it doesn't seem like much but that is a HUGE undertaking. It probably took forever and they came out absolutely perfect! It may sound like a small gesture but they did not have to do that but it was so kind. I hope this gets back to Christina somehow that they are really really appreciated during a hard time right now.
