I've been going to Goony Golf with family my entire life. Now that I have children of my own, it has become part of our yearly summer tradition. However, this year's experience was different. We had a group of 3 small children 4-6 years old golfing (plus an infant) and 4 adults, who were not playing, but teaching the children to play. We have done this without issue EVERY YEAR for 30+ years with various configurations of children in the family. This year, we were told the adults all had to pay to play (even myself, with a literal infant in a stroller) regardless of the fact we were not planning to play. The game would have taken 4x as long and we would have held up the line and wound up with a car full of cranky children had we played.
Needless to say, the experience was double the price and half the fun as a result. None of the adults played, because we needed to help the children and also navigate the very non stroller friendly course while balancing 4 extra clubs.. Unfortunately this incident likely closed the door on Goony for good, at least until our children are grown. It's a shame, because the kids really like this course, but we can't justify a door price just to walk the course with our children. Horrible policy. Parents of small kids, take note. Threw 1 extra star on there...

You will notice many places but this is- #1☆☆☆☆☆ Its simple for kids yet challenging fun for all ages! Great fam activity am/pm & only cost us $35.Good old fashioned fun! Miraculously our teen put the phone away & engaged with the fam the entire time. Takes an hr+(depending on crowds) The 18th hole has a "win a free round" contest.(Bathrooms are located here) After golf walk adjacenct to the course to the gift shop to buy souvenirs. Was crowded but it was the 4th of july & a sunday. So everyone moved methodically along each course, one after another. Which Allowed for everyone to take their time.⛳🏌️♀️We are a competitive family so we kept score. The place is outdoors, themed with kid friendly characters. My fav course was the elephant waterfall! We had a good time with little kids. I've been coming here since the 90's. Not much has changed at this golf course. It's one of the staples of Lake George. It's great to see that they continue to take care of the facilities, update the paint, keep things in good condition. That's got to be tough in an outdoor setting! There's not much more to the customer service aspect as far as a facility goes than pay when you enter, drop your clubs when you go. It was a great spot for our little kids to enjoy an hour of entertainment! It held their attention, that's a big compliment...
