Super 8 by Wyndham Lake George/Downtown — Hotel in Town of Lake George

If I could give this hotel no stars I would. The pictures are very deceiving and when my husband, my friends and I showed up...we were convinced that we weren’t at the right hotel. The lady (I think she is the owner) in the office was really nice at first but as soon as we complained, her attitude changed real quick. I have never dealt with someone that was so incredibly rude to the guest! The minute we walked into our room there was a horrible smell, one of the beds had disgusting yellow stains on the sheets and there was a dead fly on our wall. We told the lady that we felt very uncomfortable staying there and would like a refund and she refused to give us a refund and told us that “we were the first people in 20 years to complain about the hotel.” From other reviews I DOUBT that we were the first ones but that doesn’t matter because we felt VERY uncomfortable there and she didn’t care. Since we already paid for the whole weekend, we tried staying there for a couple nights. My other friend had bugs in their shower and hair from previous guest in their tub as well. The second to last night (our stay was from Friday-Monday), my friend found a huge spider crawling on him while he was laying in bed and that was the night we decided to leave and go somewhere else even though the lady refused to give us our money back even for the last night that we weren’t staying there. STAY FAR away from this hotel, I would NEVER stay here again or recommend it to...

The owner Vinny should get a little more educated and understanding. Night attendant was so wonderful had cell phone issues all day and my room phone didn't work to a switchboard problem that was fixed the next morning. The night women let me (WALK Down) to use office phone but not even comped for MY INCOVENANCE. I used towels in my room to go to the Lake evening before and placed them in trunk, Vinny the intelligent person he is ask me where the towels were and I replied in my car from being at beach and I'm going up to my room to get ready to leave and put towels back.at that same time. In the interm of going to my room for no good reason calls the police ! This mind you is before my checkout time and women just went in my room to clean it and never had the chance to take my final shower! So now by this time towels are back in room I proceed back to office and comfort a well mannered officer from Lake George who was VERY POLITE and seemed to understand my outrage and said everything was in order and I could leave.....well done officer I applaud your service unlike Mr Vinny who No one should ever have to put up with his rudeness..... People do yourself a favor and stay away from this dump NOT WORTH IT ...... Have contacted super 8 higher ups and filing complaint to visa for lack of phone in my room and totally unprofessional treatment by this moron. ..... Thanks you, the Admiral hotel on rt 9 is my favorite spot...

Staff was very nice and went above and beyond to help us out during our trip over busy Labor Day Weekend. They had sundaes on Saturday night and a little park for the kids. Note that there is no baby swing but I brought an attachment to put on the regular swing that converted it so my youngest could use it. Two swings would have been nice because my kids were fighting over who could swing but we appreciated the little park over no park. The pool was clean and heated. Multiple fire pits on the property that are lit from 6-11. They had a few games outside like giant Jenga, checkers, giant Connect 4. The refrigerator in our room was a good size. We booked through a booking site which stated free breakfast, their direct website says free coffee and breakfast item. There were a few kinds of granola bars, apples, orange and apple juice, coffee and teas. We booked last minute and requested a second floor room, surprisingly we got one. It was pretty quiet despite a full hotel, just the noise of cars passing by. There's multiple restaurants within only a few minutes walking distance and even Million Dollar Beach is a less than 20 minute walk. Stewart's across the street was also convenient.
