Everfresh Supermarket — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They sell spoiled meat and refuse to return it b/c they have a horrible return policy. We purchased ground beef and chicken on Sunday and upon arriving home we immediately discovered both were spoiled and smelled awful. We contacted the store the next day speak to Abie the meat dept manager and after waiting on hold for a long time we were told he will call us back. We never heard back from him so we decided to make the trip back to to the store to return the meat and receive store credit. We were hasseled by Abie argueing strongly they don't take back meat due to store policy. I do understand and respect policy however when it is designed to only protect the business as a basis to sell bad meat and getaway with it then it doesn't justify it. Finally after explaining what has happened and made him understand they sold us spoiled meat he agreed to issue store credit for the chicken but not the beef! He claimed he can make an exception for the chicken except the beef arguing they never take back any beef. He also mentioned he sold the beef at cost and happen to mark it down on the day we purchased it. He wouldn't admit this when we told him he knew the beef was bad and therefore he marked it down to get rid of his bad meat. In all our years of shopping at various super markets including Fairway, Whole Foods, S&S and Food Emporium we never experienced such a terrible customer and service policy. All these supermarkets are understanding and accommodating either offering full refund or store credit vs spending 30 minutes arguing and trestimg the customer poorly. This is now how you treat loyal customers and sell them spoiled meat despite patronizing them for many years! STAY AWAY FROM EVER SPOILED AND SHOP...

this supermarket is sadly going down in quality and service. Its the second time that I bought bagged fruits and had to go back to return it because they were rotten. This time the on call manager David accused my of switching the tangerines and putting rotten ones in the bag !!!!! When I asked why he doesn't assign any one to check the fruits , he said that he doesn't care!!!! Although I got my money back, I minimize my shopping at this store. They are the most expensive in the area and don't offer the service or quality that needs to come with the prices they charge. There are plenty of stores that carry what they have. Just because you have a kosher supermarket , it doesn't mean that you can be disrespectful to your customers and put any junk on the shelf. Everfresh, Its time you check...

UPDATE: Be careful when you pay, prices are not always what they are supposed to be in the flyer or on the shelves. The management is aware of it and the policy is, if someone realizes and comes back for it, they will refund you the difference. Very dishonest! Who has the time for that? I brought it up after I paid, they made me wait for 5-10 minutes and embarrassed me in front of all their customers. Very unprofessional!

UPDATE 2: With the parking redesign and the construction going on, parking is even more difficult.
