Deli On the Green — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Nothing says "secure" like a Deli On The Green jumbo styrofoam cup filled with iced-coffee, then tightly wrapped in Saran...I feel like I could punt this thing down a football field!

Unless you're in/around the Great Neck peninsula anyway, Deli On The Green is a bit off the beaten path - On Middle Neck Road, North about 5 minutes from the Northern Blvd. or 10 minutes from the the L.I.E. I had the pleasure of working nearby and have yet to receive an iced coffee or sandwich anything short of amazing!

Expect to pay between $7 and $10 per lunch sandwich; My staple lunch, a turkey/swiss/lettuce/tomato/onion/honey mustard/whole wheat wrap goes for about eight bucks. Sandwiches are generously filled, with just enough evenly-distributed goodness in every bite! The honey mustard they use is out of this world, but some of the other dressings they have (particularly the Thousand Island) are a pinch on the watery side. Ok so while I’m as working at ledermans a few coworkers and I came here for lunch. The people were cool. I ordered a turkey burger and they didn’t have any more. So I decided on a salad. With tuna.The guy chopped my salad up so much that after the tuna and dressings I was almost eating baby food. Like. Where’s the salad? They gave sesame sticks to go with it and it helped. But it was almost impossible to eat especially if you have texture problem like me lol. It was mush. N I ordered spinach. Nothing could be distinguished after the excessive chops . I was disappointed but had no time but 45 mins . So I kind of wasted 14$ for nothing. Don’t overly chop the salad wth. We have teeth. 🤦🏿🤦🏿 it was a bowl of baby food. But the place seemed clean and even offered pre made hot food that looked pretty good. I should of just had the chicken and broccoli pasta. Stay away from the chopped salad baby...

This place is the most unprofessional deli everrrrrr!!!! First they take two hours to deliver so i call and told them i dont want the food, so they called and told me they are at my house after i told them i dont want the food, called more then 5 x untill i had my husband answer the phone and they threatened him, then almost 4 months later i tried to order from them again and one of the guys said that he couldnt take me delivery order because the delivery guy was on a delivery already?!?!?...
