Hairsay Salon — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

Honestly, I’m beyond impressed and would give 10/5 stars if I could. I will 1000% be back here to see Alyssa. I needed a blowout kind of last minute, and my normal salon was fully booked. I remembered this place was near my nail place, so I thought why not. I really planned on a casual one time wash and blow and then returning to my regular salon, but I had such a good experience that Alyssa has a client in me as long as she’s doing hair. The salon accommodated my appointment super last minute, but I didn’t feel rushed or like an inconvenience at all. Alyssa took time to understand what I wanted and made sure she had enough time, she even added in a trim for me since I asked how much she thought I needed taken off (my hair desperately needed it with the split ends at the bottom). She checked in with me throughout my trim and blowout to make sure I was comfortable and that she was doing my hair the way I wanted, and I’m so appreciative. I was so relaxed in her chair that I was literally falling asleep; (I actually think I did doze off).

Also, I have a lot of hair, but she managed it perfectly and was super efficient yet thorough. She was very considerate of what I wanted and was comfortable with, like asking if she could use products and letting me undo a little fairy knot in my hair since she didn’t want to pull it. In the end, my hair looked absolutely perfect, truly even better than I could’ve imagined.

Paige also did a great job with my shampoo and gave me a nice little scalp massage while she was doing it.

Have been a loyal customer for over 8 years and will always remain so. Everyone from the front desk staff...Jesse, Victoria, and Jacqueline are all amazing. After all these years, I can say most of the hairdressers will acknowledge me with a smile if not with a personal greeting by name when I walk passed them. That is a great quality about any place! Natalia is superstar caliber as far as a hair colorist is rated. Without fail, I receive compliment after compliment on my hair. I truly feel beautiful after she has worked her magic on me. The shampoo girls are the sweetest and most knowledgeable in what they do. They are caring in every detail from water temperature to the perfect wash to complete the service I had that day. Carmine is a treasure. He has a wonderful personality that is only out shined by his brilliance in blowouts and haircuts! Another artist that truly makes me feel gorgeous when I walk out. I have also been very lucky to have Jillian work on my hair when Carmine is not available. She by the way, is not a consolation...she is a gem. I must admit, she pushed me out of my comfort zone and I love it! I no longer have to scramble to change around my schedule if Carmine is not available...as long as Jill is. Overall, Hairsay deserves 5 stars plus...and if just the experience isn't enough...love the bonus point program as well. What a great surprise to receive a nice discount as often as I do! You guys...

Where do I start? If you are a person of colored suggests not visiting, I made 3 visits to this salon and still didn't get what I wanted. The first visit was told I'll get balayage but instead, it was highlights which turned out to be 3 different tones! On the second trip was told the caramel highlights don't work with my skin tone, we end up getting something close to the cinnamon family but that just lasts for a few days after just one wash. On my 3 visits supposedly the owner needed to fix it but never once was he Pleasant. I believe if you’re working customer service your attitude should be a little accommodating it was a very intense process. I just took what I got and left because I felt like going back-and-forth didn’t make sense as his attitude was not something of wanting to please the customer and never has he apologize for all the back-and-forth of me visiting the salon and still not getting what I needed. I'm certain he was surprised to see the sloppy work his stylists did! This salon is not worth the hype! They create this dream on social media but cannot deliver and is very pricey. I'm very disappointed that they lied about their service saying I'll get Balayage but in reality, it highlights! Customers trust you to help them in the process rather you are taking the opportunity to take advantage of...
