This was a pleasant surprise. Decided to go for a fall walk after too much food & drink this birthday weekend (see former & upcoming reviews) in an area that I am only in for an extended business trip. The grounds were spacious and beautiful. Interesting, thought enticing, and emotionally provoking sculptures abound. Many are hidden until you "journey" around the particular green space you are in. Also well placed benches. Highlight of today. If you live here and don't...

I recently visited the William Cullen Bryant Preserve and enjoyed its peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are well-maintained, and the pond and walking trails provide a pleasant stroll. Various sculptures and art installations are scattered throughout.

Be prepared for mosquitoes, so bring repellent. Restrooms are available inside the main building. A nice spot for a relaxing walk or some quiet...

This is Cedarmere, the country home of American poet William Cullen Bryant. Lovely quaint gardens, pond and walking trails overlooking Roslyn Harbor. The home is only open for tours by appt. But they have ample parking and picnic tables on the grounds if you want to lunch. Also the veranda of the house has rocking chairs to sit and look out over the gardens and harbor. Just lovely...

Name is a little deceiving because this is basically the Nassau county museum of art. But besides that, it's BEAUTIFUL. The art, the facilities, the main house and the slightly creepy other house are all very cool. the garden next to the parking lot is easy to miss but very pretty. Great place for some family photos or a chill day in some nature/art

An excellent park in the grounds of the Nassau County Art Museum. The park itself contains many sculptures that cannot fit within the limited space of the museum building. Even if you are skipping the museum itself due to the entrance fee, the park is free and definitely worth a visit!

Great place for a few hours walk. It has six short trails , each is 1 mile long. You can enjoy modern art installations and beatifully manicured gardens with benches. It was free to enter on May 11, 2019. There is a museum in the park with paid admission.
