I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about my experience with Bridal Reflections. I am VERY enthusiastic about wedding planning, and I knew that I wanted the absolute highest quality selection of dresses available when searching for my wedding gown. As such, I set my sights on New York (I am a Virginia-based bride) and started researching bridal salons carrying brands that matched my preferences. I quickly discovered Bridal Reflections and fell in love with their list of designers and styles. Despite being excited for a couple of appointments I made at other shops in NYC, I just KNEW that I was going to be a Bridal Reflections bride from the beginning. I contacted the store in advance and requested some specific dresses/styles, which were waiting for me upon arrival to my appointment. My bridal consultant, Joe, was an absolute dream to work with. His genuine enthusiasm matched my own excitement for the experience, which made me feel like the most special woman to ever walk into a bridal appointment. Joe was respectful, resourceful, engaging, and incredibly encouraging, and we kept each other laughing the whole time. I was definitely going for a very intricate and high-glam look, and Joe and his team absolutely delivered. I was thrilled to give a resounding “YES!” to an unbelievably beautiful Eve of Milady gown. I was shocked, in the best of ways, because I thought I knew what dress I would be leaving with before I ever stepped foot in the shop from the list of styles I had requested in advance. I am a planner through and through and hardly ever change my mind, but the dress that ended up being “the one” absolutely blew me away. I am confident that coming to Massapequa from out of state for my dress was 100% worth it. I left the salon armed with plenty of resources about my gown and other bridal needs, accessories, bridesmaid attire, etc. Also, I have to mention that the Massapequa store is absolutely stunning. You will feel like a celebrity as soon as you walk out of the dressing room and onto the red carpet. Chandeliers abound, and beautiful paintings, wall art, and quotes cover the space. Everything is so well done. Thank you again, Joe, and everyone I met at Bridal Reflections Massapequa! You lifted me up and made one of the happiest moments of my life even happier. I've never written a review, but my experience here was so bad that I felt I had to. I was impressed when I walked in and had to fill out a form on a tablet... everything looked nice and fancy... that's where the positives ended. Despite me taking time to write in the form what I wanted for my bridal gown, the attendant never read it. I've been shopping a good amount of other places (in which I found many friendly, helpful people) so at this point I knew a good amount of what I wanted in my dress... I repeated this to her and showed her a picture of my favorite dress so far. She pulled out a dress and told me "that's your favorite." It had similarities, but wasn't, so I told her I'd rather try on other dresses since I knew I liked one better already. She was PISSED and gave me an attitude from there on out... she HATED that I was completely capable of getting into my own gown myself, as I didn't feel comfortable having her with me in the dressing room. She was very pretentious and made sure to tell me she was "trained in draping" while repeating I really should be letting her with me... why!? I was FINE, and made sure to leave zero mess. She told me to try many other styles even though I was positive as this point I wanted an A-line dress... so a few I couldn't even fit into despite me warning her (my hips are much bigger than the rest of me, so mermaid style doesn't work well). One dress I swear she was messing with me and gave me her WORST gown with a high neck, tight at the hips which showed every bulge and strap on cape (I wanted sweetheart and A-line), another one completely sheer on top despite 20 people being in the area with the mirror. She was still mad about not dressing me, so she would let my clips go without warning and I could only guess was hoping for the dress to fall down in front of everyone. Or she would barge into the dressing room even though I was completely undressed and said "one more minute" and open the door, ignoring me, to everyone in the common area. I know not all personalities can mesh, but I've had many positive experiences elsewhere even if they didn't have "my dress." I felt she was vindictive, rude, snobbish, and disinterested in helping me find what I was looking...
