Lana's Jewelry — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

What a great find! I told Eddie (owner) that when my daughter Molly comes home from NJ again, I'm taking her and my wife back to LANA'S to pick at least one thing out. This store has all the fine expensive stuff (motherly?) that my mother and sisters (Garden City) would love, but it also had a fair share of silver that is funky, chic, and more current, which my Baldwin wife will LOVE!!! You see, I want to give back to Eddie who really helped me today - with no fuss or fawning. At age 61 (GCHS '79) I recognize AND TOTALLY APPRRECIATE when I find anyone in a helping position to be knowledgeable, nice and normal, lol. I have only one piece of jewelry, a Bulova watch, which I treasure as it's a gift from my fellow nurses when I left St. Mary's Hospital for Children last September. The wristband separated from the watch and although it's still under warranty, I didn't wanna ship it out to CA right away. Two weeks ago, my haircut guy, who dabbles in jewelry/watches, said only Bulova has the needed part. Thankfully, I popped into "LANA'S JEWELRY" today after leaving Uncle Giuseppe's. Kind, good guy Eddie told me if I had a spare link from the band (I did!), that he could take that apart and fix it. I quickly went home and Eddie did just that. I was still scared he might charge me a hefty price, but he charged me less than what I thought was fair to him. So . . . that's why this non-shopper is writing his 1st google review. Made my first trip to Lana’s jewelry today looking for an item for my daughter for Christmas. Not knowing their hours, I walked in five minutes before closing. Eddie was assisting another client while I perused the store. Once Eddie began assisting me, technically while closed, he didn’t rush at all. He took time to understand what I was looking for and showed me many pieces as well as recommended a few new items he had just gotten in. Eddie wasn’t trying to sell me, rather he assisted me in finding what I was seeking, within my budget, and this is something I haven’t experienced with many jewelers.

Eddie not only takes pride in his store and his pieces but also his clients. He makes you feel welcomed and takes his time to ensure you find what you’re seeking. AND if you cannot find it, he’ll make it for you.

I recently worked with Eddie and Michael to create my now fiancées dream ring. From the moment I walked into Lana’s, the two of them treated me like family every step of the way.

If you knew my fiancée, you would know that she is very very particular with what she likes. As such, I expected ring shopping for her would be extremely stressful. When I expressed my concerns to Eddie and Michael, they put me at ease quickly, assuring that whatever she wanted she could get!!

They were put to the test shortly after, once I requested a small revision to the prongs with less than a week before the planned proposal. However, they rose to the occasion without a second thought and successfully created one of the most beautiful rings I’ve ever seen. Now, thanks to them, I am the luckiest man in the world with the happiest fiancée in the world!!
