Marjorie R. Post Community Park in Massapequa off of Merrick Road in Massapequa Park, is easy to find. They have a few different parking lots- so, be aware of where you park. Sr. Events do have trolleys. Exercise and Tai Chi thru the town of Oyster were done well. PRk is well kept and has some beautiful trees.

July 22, 2019. I found today’s staff was extremely difficult and overwhelmed by the camps. (Assuming) my 2.5 year old niece was asked to remove her arm float device while the only part of the pool where she can be taught was occupied for 2 hours with lessons. The kiddie is too kiddie. Meanwhile other floating devices were being used and set up around the pool area. Then to have my bother in law move a little faster to catch up to my niece was told no running. Seriously!!???! So she can’t have her arm float device which if she falls in will save her. So instead we need to chase her considering the staff on hand that moment wasn’t even paying attention to the water all eyes on us. Extremely uncomfortable.. I have been coming here for years and my family. First time ever I felt my niece could be in harms way. If the staff during the 11-1 can’t handle camps and residents they may need to rethink the summer job they have picked. I’m still here and it’s selective.. there is ball throwing doll holding jumping in from the sides and not once do I hear a whistle. Changing of staff I guess. I’m not happy and honestly I’m a little disappointed in the...

This is absolutely one of the best parks I have ever been to. I grew up here as a kid and there was always something to do in this huge place - from the pool area to the crazy playgrounds on both sides of the park, even to the huge open forest in the back with the river and the lake on the side. There is just something so serene and special about this place. I have great memories here. I still go to this park whenever I can. It's also very romantic if you ever decide to have a picnic or get together with your lover here, or maybe with your friends. I would totally take advantage of going to this place if you get the opportunity...

One of my favorite parks to take the kids to. There are several different playgrounds to choose from. They also have two tennis courts, which are free to use. The public pool has daily passes and all summer passes, and offers swimming lessons. But, you can only get the lessons if you have an all summer pass. The passes are expensive, and I was willing to pay for the lessons alone, but that is not permitted. It's still a nice day activity. You can also secure BBQ locations throughout the park for any event. I believe you have to contact Town Hall to secure the space. A nursery school is also on site, but I don't know...
