Perfect Blend Yarn & Tea Shop — Attraction in Town of Saugerties

We were driving to Saratoga Springs from NYC and stopped by in Saugerties for some food. I am so glad we did because during our drive I found this yarn store and spent close to an hour inside shopping.

This store is probably one of the best yarn stores in the upstate NY area. They have an amazing selection of yarn brands. Lots of hand dyed yarns including some amazing local dyers like Cake Wool co and Whole Knit n’ Caboodle. They also carry popular brands like Manos Del Uruguay, Malabrigo and Knitting for Olive (which they started carring recently).

The space looks small but so well utilized and has many shelves filled with amazing options. The staff is extremely nice, the owner Mary is super sweet and I just seriously wanted to stay there and become friends with them.

I left with two skeins of lovely Bam-woo light from Whole Knit n’ Caboodle which a bamboo wool blend and a skein of Serpentina from Manos del Uruguay. I could have bought more but had to stop myself.

The perfect shop! Saugerties is a beautiful little town and this shop just makes it better. They have a great selection of small/local/indie brands and bigger commercial brands. I was able to see and feel some yarns in person that I'd only seen online before. The owner was incredibly friendly and we had a great chat about yarn and notions. There was a nice selection of fixed and interchangeable needles. She offered a tasting of some ginger elixir and it was delicious. I stopped in this adorable store on my way back from a vacation weekend and am SO happy I did. Despite popping in minutes after they opened the owner and her husband were so happy to see us, and then when I asked for a bit of help and we got chatting they were both just lovely and kind.

The store itself is beautiful with a wide range of different types, fiber contents, colours, and weights of yarn. There's also a good selection of notions, books, and finished pieces.
