Hauppauge Shopping Center — Attraction in Town of Smithtown

Self check-out, which I thought was designed to expedite paying, was nothing short of a waste of time, and a drain on my patience. Many of the prices of items in my cart had to be looked-up, weighed, and placed on an inadequately sized bagging reception area. Since my order was quite large, the system faltered time after time. Prices, and discounts as advertised, were difficult to understand, and required multiple calls for assistance. Having to load digital coupons requires multiple inputs, rendering it a tedious and cumbersome process. The selection of produce is mostly mediocre at best, and availability is often limited. I was at shop rite. No one in the store, except the lovely woman who worked the cashier i chose, acted or answered my questions with a care that they truly wanted to be there. "What aisles are the hummus and pita chips in?" Without pointing or nodding in any direction says "over there" and goes back to unpacking stock. I respond with "I'm sorry but where again?" She said "obviously not here" then proceeded to walk into the back stock area where she never came down. What tf is wrong with people at supermarkets? Plenty of stuff in the shopping center just always so dang busy they rebuilt the road and made it much smaller and the sidewalk much wider and there's nothing even occupying that place hopefully something comes through soon to justify a massive sidewalk I dunno lol I've been in construction long time and never seen the need for this big a sidewalk it's on the shiprite passage area.
