I went into this place about two weeks ago since I heard it was a reputable place around town. When I walked in, it was at first very appealing; organized, people talking, etc. I brought in my old collection from when I was a kid, majority of stuff were 60s and 70s Baseball Cards and a few Pokemon Cards from the late 90s/ early 2000s. At first, there was one gentleman there who was looking through, very pleasant and was talking to him for a while, discussing my profession and whatnot. Once he was done, another individual came over (assuming his name was Bob), he didn't care to shake my hand. First red flag. He goes through my collection and after about 5 minutes he looks at me like I'm some imbecile and offers me $250. Braindeaded offer. There were hundreds of cards that were valuable, some individually worth more than $200. I confront him and he scoffs and tries to justify why he is making me what he thinks is to be a "good deal." The others in the shop also look at Bob because they also know he was trying to rip me off. I try to reason with him but he starts to walk away since he comes to the conclusion that he was no longer going to scam me. DO NOT COME HERE TO SELL!! GO TO HUDSON VALLEY INSTEAD. I went there and they offered me a much more reasonable price!!! 0/5 do not...
Read moreThis shop shows the problem with the current state of Pokemon. Selling product for well over market prices. Selling ETBs for $130 when you can go on eBay and get them for $75-80. Selling poster collections for $60 when you can get them for $25-30. Binder collections for $70 when you can get them for $40-45. Battle Partners Booster Box for $180 when they are $65-70. Stay far away from this place for Pokemon, this is the definition of scalpers. And they will hide behind this false premise that âwe pride ourselves on being an at market seller for hard to get and rare productsâ when itâs all just a lie they tell theirselves and their customers. They also say in a previous reply to a review that they buy this stuff at retail, so they are the part of the reason why your local Walmart and Target are always wiped clean. Stay...
Read moreAwesome card shop. They always take care of me (honesty about pricing, whatâs been pulled from current packs for sale, why some packs are better than others, always throw in free case protectors). They always answer all of my questions as a new collector. The owner even sat down with me and explained everything there is to know about grading cards and how to go about selling cards. There was nothing in it for him heâs just very passionate about card collecting. Since I started collecting again this stores prices are cheaper than any other card shop Iâve stopped at and anything Iâve seen...
