Everyone I've talked to says Mattress Firm is terrible.

By far one of the worst purchasing experiences I have ever been through. Dale was overly aggressive and patronizing (we are nearly 30 and at one point he told us to "Go play with something"). We were sold on the 0% financing for 12 months (under the impression it was in store, before we knew it we had another credit card, which was fine but not transparent at all). We got the free upgrade to an adjustable base (under the assurances we could fit it in our car) and waived our $100 delivery charge. When we went to pick it up, Bob (who was great) told us there was no chance we were taking the queen mattress sized box (weighed a couple hundred pounds) in a Subaru Outback. So we set up a delivery for the next week as our only option at this point (if we left it we would be charged to return it). I called the next day to cancel the delivery and exchange for a normal base which the staff told me to do, lo and behold they still tried to deliver the original base the next week and I was charged for the delivery fee after I canceled. The worst sales experience of my life! Walked into a Mattress Firm store in Kingston, NY and was greeted by their sales rep named Debra A. Parise who showed me several firm mattresses in the $1,200-$1,500 price range and then offered a clearance mattress for $499 that was supposed to be brand new. We purchased the mattress, threw it in the back of a pick-up truck and drove off. On the way back I noticed the bag the mattress was in read PRE-OWNED. I immediately pulled over and called Debra who assured me that the mattress was indeed brand new but that the warehouse simply "ran out of new bags" and used that one instead. I didn't think much of it until several days later when our guests arrived and we unpacked the mattress only to find a sticker attached to the mattress that read in part: "SECOND HAND - USED BEDDING." I then drove back to the store and spoke with Debra who changed her tune and lied to me for the third time, this time saying she had warned me the mattress was used or scratched or otherwise damaged. WOW! Really, in 2017 sales people can do this and get away with it???! UNREAL!! #fraud...

We had a great experience with Mattress Firm. Kyle, the "Sleep Expert" really was an expert. He listened carefully to what we wanted in a mattress, and what our budget range was. He showed us several options, at different prices, and encouraged us to take as much time as we wanted to try them out. He cheerfully answered all our questions (we had a lot), and never made us feel rushed or pressured to make a decision too quickly. When we chose our favorite mattress, he carefully reviewed store policy, warranty, and how the delivery service worked. And he was a delightful, nice person - we left the store smiling! Just two days later, two friendly, polite deliverymen arrived to neatly remove our old mattress and install the new one. (I should mention it was a really hot day, and our bedroom is on the second floor of an older house with no central A/C. They were working hard.) They couldn't have been more pleasant, or more careful while maneuvering through our home. I highly recommend this store. Great service all around, and we are looking forward to many comfortable years of sleep on our lovely...
