If it wasn’t for all the unnecessary stuff that happened making it take so much longer than normal I wouldn’t be so unhappy with it! I went in to have a cpu cooler replaced and only takes about 30 minutes to do that! He flipped it into a two hours job.
Gutted my motherboard and took out my power supply, took out my ram sticks etc…. Even took out the cpu from the socket! Which ended up resetting my bios settings for some reason. Pretty sure that not normal as that usually in coms battery. Next time Clean the cpu off while it’s in socket there’s no reason to take it out unless there’s actually problems with either the cpu or the socket!
One thing that I want to point out is that he almost had the cpu cooler, rad and fans currently put on! But he did end up putting washers in between the rad and fans creating a gap that the fans were not able too push all the air up into the rad! As soon as I remove the washers I gained my cpu temp dropped good 13c! Little things like that will matter!
Computer doing well after I fixed up the mistakes myself and has 13 fans keeping it ice cold to where my gpu fans will never spin again even while gaming! When done it will have 17...
Read moreI needed to have a screen replaced ..on a phone that's three generations behind already , 4 year old phone....the cashier, tech,...quoted my wife 200 dollars to repair the screen three weeks ago...which I thought at the time was absolutely ridiculous , so I told the wife to wait ..so three weeks later I was walking o Past the place and decided to go in and see what he sais. 260 dollars to replace the screen..i said wow..then he told me that he wouldn't even pay that price and that I should just go buy a new phone..lmao..great tech for business huh...but I'm wondering how the price changed from 60 dollars in three weeks? So i go online to a supplier, and no , not ebay.. ...they sold a whole kit for this phone , screen , digitizer, tools etc..every thing needed to replace it for 70 dollars ..shipped to my door...so if the general public can buy the digitizer for 70 dollars imagine what a company that has suppliers and does this for a living could get it for...260 dollars is quit a huge markup to say the least ,especially when the guy working there tells me he wouldn't even pay it..lol...so I cant help but think that this place is a RIP off and their employee...
Read moreComputer Outlet North Inc. in Baldwinsville is stellar. I brought my company laptop in because it went Amityville Horror on me and I'm by no means a laptop guru. Upon entering the business I was pleasantly and politely welcomed by both David and Joe that run this particular establishment. Without the need of an appointment, David immediately diagnosed and started working on my laptop....right while I was standing there. When it was realized that the laptop's problems were a bit more complicated beneath the surface and was going to take some time, I was even offered coffee if I wanted to stick around for a while! You don't get that kind of professionalism and courtesy anywhere....period! I had a deadline for when I needed the laptop repaired by and it was met most satisfactorily. The cost of repair was more than reasonable and the environment was clean and very well managed. Quality service, professional interaction, and a very fair service cost will keep me coming back whenever I need expert and reliable service.
