Disappointing sums it up...My husband and I arrived at this location @ 7:25 the eatery closes at 8pm. We walked into two very friendly woman who advised “we encourage you to grab a glass of wine and walk around the shops” I was excited as this place has several vendors selling various items They said to pick a seat and we choose to be outside.
Service: We were greeted with menus and a drink list and I ordered a bottle of the recommended “ Three Sisters Chardonnay “ it was now 7:38pm She said are you all ready to order I said maybe just a couple minutes. She replied “ I need to get your order in within the next 5 Min.” I said ok and let my husband order and I kind of gave a look like “ really” so she goes I can get the bottle of wine and come back? WHY wouldn’t you have just done that instead of pressuring a paying customer. I just ordered anyhow.
Around 5 Min later the wine was brought out. The server grabbed all of our glasses by the rim that we drink off of, I wiped my wine glass off with my shirt since there were no napkins, I asked for a straw she replied “ It will be a second I can’t have them on the tray they would get all wet??? Ok……(apron maybe?) She leaved for straws
I take a sip of this wine that was 25 bucks.. and mind you its 80’ degrees out this wine was warmer. She came back I said is this chilled? It doesn’t seem it- she says “ no” we didn’t have any but it was in the cellar so its cellar chilled – are you kidding me she said I will bring ICE. WOW I am laughing in side like this is my 1st and last time ever coming here she should have asked when she found out there were none cold. This girl needs a lesson on hospitality service do’s and DON’T’s.
Atmosphere: Cluttered the tables and chairs are metal and uncomfortable. The supposed “ view” is of main street.
Food: My husband ordered the Trio paninis as seen below the turkey was good the roast beef was extremely low grade and all of them were cold in the middle. I ordered the special “ the healthy salad “ it was a beet, peanut, feta Spinach salad it was tasty HOWEVER, ALL of the salads are served as seen below in a strainer YES folks a strainer so if you are expecting your dressing to stay on the salad you’ll be very...
Read moreWhat an upscale and classy establishment! I tried out this hidden little gem in Baldwinsville on Saint Patrick's Day and had a wonderful experience. Not only was the service exceptional, the owner was very welcoming and the atmosphere in this eatery made you feel like you we're at home. Now to the food... I ordered the Potato and leek soup which had the perfect consistency. It was not too creamy and the flavor was on point. For my entree I ordered the Reuben with a side of their Orzo. I can honestly say that this Reuben was the best I have ever had. (And I've had a lot of those over the years). The Orzo was sooo tasty. I am glad I picked that option for the side. To sum it up..... based on my experience that day, I recommend anyone looking for great food, comfortable atmosphere, and exceptional service to try out Olive's Eatery. Lastly, I had a chance to check out the shops upstairs and I was really impressed with what they have to offer for apparel, decor, and so much more. Five Stars across the board ladies. Can't wait to...
Read moreOlive's instantly became a favorite place to go with my friends. Whether we are celebrating or just getting together....this place was created to provide a very special adventure including shopping, eating and "oogling" over the whimsical and eclectic decor. Every item on the menu is presented in a special serving piece. Oh...and then there is Robert....who makes everyone feel like he's been waiting all day for your arrival!
Looking for the perfect gift? The shopping there is amazing....purses, jewelry, soaps, silk flowers, an upscale consignment clothing shop, pottery and on and on. You have to grab it when you see it because tomorrow it will be gone. The merchandise turns over very quickly.
I made the mistake of taking my husband there....now he loves the place as well as the wine list and tapas! This is not just a "girlfriend" place. I have seen lots of men doing business outside this summer in the garden. "Real Men" eat...
