I had a bad experience with this Home Depot. I went in to set up a carpet installation, which begins with them sending someone to measure your home. After they come back with an estimate, you can pay online or in-store or over the phone (that's what I was told). I was also told you can pay at any Home Depot location. After I moved into my new place where the carpet was to be installed, I went to a different Home Depot location to pay and set up installation. At this other Home Depot, I was told they are not allowed to finish orders set up by another store. Instead, I went home and called the Home Depot Flooring Center (corporate?) to pay for it. I was told by the Flooring Center that they could not process coupons to put towards an order, they could only take my credit card. The coupon I was trying to use was associated with my new Home Depot credit card, and was for $100 off which makes a difference when you're spending over $1,600. So for some reason, the Flooring Center cannot take these Home Depot coupons and told me instead to call the original store. The original store (where I was told I could pay at other locations or over the phone) told me they are not allowed to accept payments over the phone, but I could come in or do it online. Online, there is no where to put in the coupon code. So I either have to drive 45 minutes away to my old Home Depot to use the coupon, or forfeit it. Had I known all of this when I started, I would not have used Home Depot or gotten a Home Depot credit card. This entire experience has left a really bad impression of Home Depot for me...
Read moreI went to this location to purchase a replacement header for my elderly father’s vertical blinds. The size I needed was not in stock, so I was told to order it online. Sounds simple, right? Returning this online order due to shoddy workmanship was extremely & ridiculously difficult. After driving to the store, I was told online orders can only be handled by ONE SPECIFIC employee, who was not in. I had to bring the header back home. The phone tag games began. After my calling several days, different times of day, only to be always told they are “at lunch,” & leaving unreturned messages, I finally asked to be transferred to the manager. Huge mistake. He interrupted my first sentence by saying, “How do you know she wasn't really at lunch?” I began trying to explain how many messages I had left with no return call, but he continued interrupting in an amused voice. It seemed to me he assumed I was just a complaining “Karen” & enjoyed handling me. The next day a woman called me & arranged permission for the return. I have a photo showing how crooked the cut was on one end. It was also too short. It never should have been shipped to a customer. I have never forgotten the frustration of trying to get help returning this or the way I was spoken to by the (immature & rude) manager. This happened around 2020, but I never reported it. Read moreI bought a dishwasher in September. On the day of delivery, the time was pushed up 3 times. It went from 7:15 am to 8:30 pm. No communication from Home Depot to inform me of this. The installers eventually showed up at 4:30 p.m. I proceeded to show them the setup in my kitchen. I was informed then that they would not be able to install the dishwasher. The shut off valve is not upstairs. They told me that I would have to hire a plumber to install it upstairs and then they could install it. The salesman I spoke to never once mentioned this to me. What makes Home Depot think that people have extra money to have plumbing work done to install a dishwasher. Especially after I spent good money to purchase this appliance. All that needs to be done is the water line has to be fed to the valve right below the floor. The lack of communication and concern for the customer in this process is DISGUSTING ! They dropped off the dishwasher in my garage and left. Fortunately I have a handy father-in-law who helped me install it the next day. My wife called the next day to get our refund for the delivery fee. She was transferred to the wrong Department three times and was on the phone for over 30 minutes. She was also given the wrong phone number to schedule a pickup of the old dishwasher two times. I will NEVER buy another appliance from Home Depot. They do not care about their customers...
