Marshall Alarm Systems, Inc — Attraction in Town of Yorktown

tl;dr: Marshall Alarm is terrific and you will have no regrets choosing them as your alarm company.

I have had a great experience with Marshall Alarm. I recently moved to Westchester and purchased a home that had been serviced by a different alarm company. The system in the home was dated and required some upgrades. The previous company wanted to charge for a tech to come out to assess and upgrade (just the visit, not including the cost of the additional new equipment) their system. To add insult to injury, the company requires an additional $8.95/mo to use their app, on top of their monthly charge. Outrageous. Oh yeah, 5 year contract too.

After extensive research for other alarm company options, I reached out to Marshall, given their good reviews (one other company I contacted said they couldn't service Honeywell equipment - Marshall didn't bat an eye).

Marshall have been nothing short of excellent. Debbie, our saleswoman, is extremely knowledgeable, provided great advice, offered recommendations where it made sense to upgrade our equipment and in other areas offered that we didn't need to spend the money on upgrades over what we already had.

Not only that, post installation, Debbie has been attentive and helpful; checking in to ensure everything was working properly and, when we had a small hiccup with our system after initial activation, was incredibly responsive, ensuring our issue was resolved and everything was in working order.

In addition, after a month in the house, we have had a couple instances where we did not turn off our alarm in a timely fashion when entering the home. Marshall's Central Station called immediately to check that everything was OK. At the end of the day, that's what you're looking for in an alarm company!

I recently bought a home in Chappaqua and couldn't be happier with my experience with Marshall Alarm. It is a professional, helpful firm that provides impeccable service. I was initially extremely impressed with their sales representative, Debbie. She was knowledgeable, very warm, was able to advise on the suite of services I needed to secure my home, and has checked up on me numerous times to make sure the alarm system is working properly and that I did not need any additional help. She is truly a gem, and Marshall Alarm is lucky to have her. The installation team was equally impressive. Both MJ and Anthony took the time to explain what they were installing and why and walked me through how to use the system. They left the areas in which they worked extremely clean. They have also promptly returned phone calls when I had questions I needed answered. Finally, the response team for actual breaches has been equally excellent. I recently had an incident trigger the alarm when I was away, and the service team called me immediately and liaised with the police department. Fortunately, nothing serious had occurred, but I felt that the team could see what was happening in my home at all times. Debbie, Marshall, and the entire team are nothing short of amazing! Last year, I moved to a new home where I inherited a convoluted system, and it took weeks for the existing company to even call me back for an intro! So I spent the next few months researching and contacting various alarm companies, including Marshall Alarms. During this research phase, I found Debbie to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly patient with me as I narrowed my choices. I would email, text, and call Debbie at off-hours and she was immediately responsive and helpful in guiding me on alarm systems. She did not try to push me to Marshall Alarms - but simply described the pros/cons of all the various systems, and the many companies servicing them. It was clear to me that Marshall Alarm was the way to go. Even Marshall himself was available and easily accessible to answer my many additional questions, and he was incredibly thorough with his explanations.
